We’re home!

Hello friends and family!  We made it home today and things are still the same around here!  The house didn’t fall down and the kids are still picking on each other……some things just never change, do they???  Our precious little foster baby survived a week with another caregiver (one of my dear friends who is also a foster mom) and didn’t seem to mind us being gone at all – what a blessing!  He is cutting his first tooth on the top and it is just starting to poke through……..otherwise nothing is different!  I was glad that he didn’t decide to take his first steps while we were gone, or something monumental like that!  I will look forward to sharing some of the highlights of the trip in the days to come.

These are my Stampin’ Up! girlfriends in Sarasota, Florida that I stayed with for a couple of days on our trip.  They each have 3 children, and lead very busy lives like me!  Are you surprised???  Maria is in the middle, and Jenn is on the right holding 3 month old Sam.  He was such a good boy while I was visiting……..he never spit up even once — until we were about to take this photo!  Gotta love it!  We were heading back to Orlando and realized we didn’t have any photos of the three of us.  I can’t say that I think this is a very flattering photo of me, but I suppose we rarely like photos of ourselves!  I had such a wonderful time with these gals!!!!  THANKS MARIA and JENN!!!!  I love you guys!

So, those who wanted to see some stamping stuff, I have tons of new photos.  Here is a sweet, simple little card.  I am ready to “crash” after a day of traveling and being off schedule.   This card does not use chipboard, but it was one of my favorites that Jenn had done.  They each had a Pun Fun Stamp Class recently, so they had lots of ideas for that set.   Give me a day or two and I will get back in the groove and post more fun stuff…….have a great weekend!

Supplies Used:  Stamp Set:  Pun Fun;  Ink:  Black Stazon; Cardstock:  Whisper White,  Real Red, Blue Bayou;  Designer Series Paper:  Soft Sky Prints;  Punches:  1 3/8″ Circle and Scalloped Circle;  Ribbon:  Real Red Striped Grosgrain ; Other:  Blender Pens.

  1. Dawn-
I had a GREAT time with you, and I am so glad that you were able to spend time with Jen and I on your trip! Hope you are back on schedule. Take it from someone who just got back in the groove last Friday. Can’t wait to see more of your samples! Have a great weekend.

  2. Dawn, It sounds like you had a grand time! It is always so much fun to get away for a bit and do some me time.

I was looking at some later posts and saw the beautiful dress you made! I love it and miss the days when my daughter was wearing that stuff. I did some great bishops for my son too!

I taught classes for 13 years and I do miss it but I will hopefully have a grand baby soon.

YOu do beautiful work with everything you do!
