Today’s cards are from our monthly Stampin’ Up! publication and the “A La Card” Template. This monthly feature gives me a sample template that will work nicely for a variety of images and is quick and easy to demonstrate for a workshop. I love this feature (among many others!) because it is very easy to adapt to whatever stamp sets I have on hand even if I don’t have the exact images used in the magazine. The original designs used “Priceless” and I didn’t have that one………so I used the hostess set (that Stampin’ Up! gave me as a Christmas present) instead and it turned out really cute! I also used my Stampin’ Up! Color Wheel (a must have!!!) to give me new color options for my “Enjoy” card.
One more thing…….notice the white grosgrain ribbon with the Pumpkin Pie edge??? This is a fun little technique that I had forgotten about. Do you do that, too? You learn something and then totally forget it over time??? There are so many neat things that I have learned over the past 10 years as a demonstrator. But, until I see someone use it, I forget to “dig it out of the archives”………ya’ know what I mean??? So, back to the ribbon………you just lightly touch your Stampin’ Write marker to the edge of the ribbon……very lightly is the KEY!!! Sometimes you will get a little bleeding, but practice barely touching the ribbon and you will master it in no time!
Enjoy the cards……….and enjoy the little things in life………..someday we will learn that those little things REALLY are the BIG THINGS in life! Have a great weekend. Stamper’s 10 Club Class is Monday night so I will have new things to show you after the weekend………better get busy planning!!!
