As promised……..here are the projects from last night! We had a blast, as usual, and had a delicious dessert called an Apple Nut Ring. Thanks Sherry!!!!
Project #1 was a miniature Composition Book embellished with a chipboard flower. We inked the flower with Old Olive Craft Ink and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. The paper is from Summer Picnic in the Mini Catalog. The photo makes the flower look very dark, but in real life it was not quite that dark.
Project #2 was another version of the Enjoy card from an earlier post. We simply added chipboard instead of the letter “O”. They could choose the “heart” version or the “flower version”. We colored the chipboard with markers and then used the Fine Cosmo Glitter on the chipboard. Why color it? So that none of the “raw” chipboard shows through if the glitter does not cover some tiny spots. I learned that little tip on some other blog……..and I liked it! This glitter is so sparkly and so fine that I am still “modeling” glitter from last weekend! It sticks to everything!
Project #3 was a simple little box made with one 12×12 piece of Designer Series Paper. I have searched all over my desk for the name of the blog where I originally found this pattern, but I can’t find it. I am so sorry! I will gladly send directions to any of you that would like to make the box. Please e-mail me for additional information. I am only going to show the photo for now.
The last project was a card using the Die Cut Blooms (Mini Catalog) and a neat little Scalloped Edge that I learned in the last issue of PaperCrafts Magazine. The left edge of the card has a white scalloped edge……….made with tiny punched flowers! I used the Three for You Punch and quickly punched tiny white flowers. I only exposed 1/2 of the flower to create this edge. Looks similar to a doily edge, don’t you think??? The large flowers are made using several different products. The white flower was cut using Chipboard as a stencil. The orange flower was made using the 5 Petal Flower Punch. The blue flower and red center were punched from the Die Cut Blooms (Mini Catalog). And what about the little center??? It is a POP UP GLUE DOT covered with MicroBeads. WOW! Lots of products to tempt my customers with! The glue dot even looks better with our CHUNKY GLITTER on it, but that is ONE product I don’t own. YET! I know you can’t believe that I don’t have it, but I really don’t! Have a great day and let me know if you have any questions about the projects.
