First, a quick reminder to check out this post if you want to see my list of retired sets for sale.
Over the weekend, I had a little bit of time to stamp some things for my first Stamper’s 10 Club Class. Both of the groups are meeting on Tuesday for our first “organizational” meeting, but I wanted them to have a couple of cards to stamp using new images. Here is what I came up with….
This set is called “A FLOWER FOR ALL SEASONS” and I earned this set for sales this past year. It is a small set with 4 images. I fell in love with this little frog. I used two of the New In Colors, the New Scallop Punch, and the Kiwi Kiss Polka-Dot paper is included in the Bella Rose DSP Collection. WOW! Lots of new stuff! I colored the image with Blender Pens and Stamp Pads. I used Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, and Sahara Sand. I think the ticket corner punch added just the right touch to frame this small image, don’t you? I think I might go back and add some Crystal Effects to the little frog for an added touch.
My next card uses one of the stamps sets that Stampin’ Up! gave to me at Convention. It is called Eastern Blooms. It is a flower set — and we all know that I love flowers! It was easy for me to get some ideas for a new card using an OLD card……..here is the OLD card using Buds and Blossoms.
I had similar images to work with in the new set, Eastern Blooms. So, here is the NEW CARD.
What do you think? I loved the colors together and the way it all turned out! I wanted to use the New In Color Pacific Point (instead of Bashful Blue) but since I don’t have the matching ribbon for the In Colors, I went with the Bashful Blue. Maybe I can show you a “remake” when I get the new stuff. I am ordering it in the morning!!!! Notice the Build-A-Brad for the center of the flower. I stamped the red flower on a scrap, punched out 1/2″ circle center, and added it to the center of the brad. If you have not tried these out, you gotta get ’em. They cost $9.95 for 24 brads. They come in two finishes — Antique Brass and Pewter, and the clear acrylic bubbles on top are stickers! They are so easy to use and add alot to your projects. They also come in a cute silver tin……gotta love that!
Supplies for the new card: Stamp Set: Eastern Blooms; Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Bashful Blue; Ink: Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Bashful Blue; Accessories: Build-A-Brad (center of flower), 1/2″ Circle Punch, Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.
So, that’s all for today……..we have 2 additional foster children coming over any minute. We are helping out a friend tonight and tomorrow. My hands will be full, but I do have plenty of helpers around. Allyson starts Cross Country this week at 6:15 every morning…….oh, boy, does that sound fun or what. Sure do wish she had her license at times like this!
That’s all for now! Dawn
