Eastern Blooms

Just another simple card that I made over the weekend……..it was a color combination that I saw on Split Coast.  Actually the entire card is a pretty close CASE….but I did change it around just a little.  And don’t look too close at my piercing — I got it a little crooked at the top!  The template slipped a little, and I wasn’t paying close enough attention.  I was too lazy to redo all the stamping — after all, it’s just a sample!  I also used some retired Chocolate Chip Twill because I don’t have my Narrow Chocolate Chip ribbon yet — but it will be here this week!  Along with lots of new stamps and my BIG SHOT, too!  I can not wait to play with all my new toys.  I hope the week provides some “play time” and nothing major interrupts! 🙂   One more thing:  the Chocolate Chip layer forms the back of the card.  It doesn’t look like it in the photo, but it frames out the entire card.  The Apricot Appeal layer is the actual card that opens up to write on.  I try to do this when I am using darker colors of cardstock so that you can see the writing on the lighter cardstock.  Hope that makes sense!

We are off to the orthodontist this morning.  Sarah is getting an appliance on the bottom teeth, so that will fill up part of the day……….hopefully stamping can fill up another part!  Have a great Monday!
