Hey gang! We had a really fun trip to San Antonio for the Labor Day Weekend. (Just us girls!) I am still playing a little “catch up” and didn’t find time to post yesterday. Sorry! I had a meeting for my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators last night, so it stole most of my attention when I got home. Thankfully, I had done most of the prep work before leaving town…….thus, we enjoyed the trip all the more. Scroll down to the second part of this post if you want to see a few photos from our trip.
One of the fun projects that I showed my ladies were these Criss Cross Cards. CLICK HERE for the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers. Maybe you’ve seen these before, maybe not. I have looked at them several times, but never taken the time to explore the specifics on how to make them. They are really quite easy, but they take more cardstock than the average card. Here a couple of my samples. I will share more in the next couple of days……..once I started them, I had trouble stopping! They were really fun! And they use Designer Series Paper…….my favorite!

San Antonio Trip
All the way to San Antonio we heard Sarah talking about going to the Alamo. We decided that we better go there FIRST THING so as to appease her and NOT listen to it all weekend. We checked in to our hotel and walked straight on over. She has been before, I promise you, but she was much younger and had a strong desire to visit again after learning more about Texas History.
Much of our trip centered around food. Yes, eating out at our favorite restaurants without dad. You see, dad likes to control our portions and our menu choices. Something about money……..but mom let’s us choose whatever we want on vacation!!!! We had intentions on photographing our favorite foods BEFORE AND AFTER………but we got so excited that we forgot to do the photos until after it was all gone. Go figure! You’d think we were eating our last meal!
Crab and Shrimp at Joe’s Crab Shack
Ribs at Tony Roma’s (they closed our local Tony Roma’s, so we were really loving this one!)
At the River Center Mall on the Riverwalk
On the River Boat Cruise…….we learned alot about San Antonio history and the landmarks surrounding the riverwalk. It was really interesting!
Our last night there, we stayed up late playing Yahtzee. Unfortunately, I was in last place…….I had a horrible case of BAD LUCK! But it was really fun to pile up on the bed and laugh!
Those are a few of the highlights……..hope you enjoyed a little glimpse into our life. Precious Memories!!!!
