Well……I wish I were headed to the Ski Slopes……but I’m back teaching Senior English instead. Maybe we can afford to hit the slopes after this job is over……….NOT! We have to buy a car for that special little daughter that turns 16 this Christmas! So, where did this title really come from??? Now that I have your attention, I’ll show you my newest creations using the SKI SLOPE Designer Series Paper Collection. This paper is located on Page 12 of our Holiday Mini Catalog. You know I am a sucker for all of our paper — and this is no exception. I used another “template” for the cards I created this weekend. I will show you two of them today, and two of them tomorrow, so don’t forget to check back in tomorrow! As always, you will love the versatility of this paper. You can create Christmas/Winter cards with this paper — but, oh, so much more!!!!
This card was featured in our monthly Stampin’ Up! magazine as a “template” whereby you can change the papers and images easily to create totally different cards. I used the red patterned paper from the Ski Slope paper. Do you think of Christmas when you see this card? Not hardly! I love taking these papers and using them for something totally different……..don’t let the name of the paper “cage you in” and make you think you can ONLY use it for the winter months. Think outside the box!
Here is my second card…..very, very similar. Now it looks all wintery! I added the Felt Flurries (my favorite new accessory from the Winter Mini) and used a Christmas verse. Also note that I pierced holes on the top of this card instead of using the Spiral Punch. Isn’t it amazing what a BIG difference you see with just LITTLE changes! Come back tomorrow for my other two cards!
May your Monday be wonderful……….and out of the ordinary!
