It’s Monday already???

For real……..where did the weekend go?  It should have lasted much, much longer!  The weather was gorgeous here in Texas!  We had our first weekend in 5 weeks that we actually got to stay in town!  It was wonderful!!!  Although it was filled with activity, it was great to be home and not have to travel.  We had a very sad game on Friday night — we lost big time!  It was our last home game, and we were favored to win by a long shot.  Guess our guys got a little too confident — and it was a tough way to end our season, especially for the seniors.   We managed to squeeze in a trip to see High School Musical 3 — at Sarah’s request — the movie was really cute, might I add!  We went on Sunday afternoon while Daddy was busy with some football stuff, and we all enjoyed ourselves a great deal.  Although I miss Malachi a great deal, it is nice to be able to go to movies and other activities like that and we usually don’t get to do things like this without alot of effort.

I saw a really cute card HERE and decided to case it.  I hope you like this as much as I did.

I wanted to show you the “opened” card so you would see how the circle punch is used.  I really liked the unique layout design and the use of DSP.  You can also use a little less DSP by making it shorter — make the DSP stop where the front flap starts (if that makes sense).  The flower comes from Easter Blooms and the verse is from Best Yet (a hostess set).   After making this one, I decided to branch out and make a few more varieties of this card….

Have a great week!  Dawn

  1. It’s been awhile since I checked your blog. I’m so glad I did! I’ve been needing some inspiration for Felt Flurries and Ski Slope DSP. Plus, I’m going to make the blessings mix for my Thanksgiving stamp camp on Friday! Thanks for the great ideas!

  2. Dawn,
Those cards are beautiful! The Christmas cards are really gorgeous.
    Have a good week.

  3. Ooooh, I love the Baja one with the Felt Flurry snowflakes! Very, very nice!

I just got an e-mail from Dava who saw my name on your site… what a small world! Her son was in my Scout Den a few years ago – before they moved.

    Have a great weekend!
