Tile Coasters

Tonight is my second club class for the month of November.  I never showed you the last project that we made — these tile coasters.  There are many different tutorials on the web for this type of project and just as many variations on how to achieve the look you want.  I stuck with PLAIN and SIMPLE for my club class.  I purchased these tiles at Lowe’s and they were very inexpensive.  You can get “nicer” marbelized ones that are much more expensive, but they would make a nicer gift item.  I stamped them with StazOn ink in both brown and black.  These 2 tiles were made by two of the ladies in my club.  I will post some more after tonight’s class so you can see some more variations.  I made some samples with monograms, background stamps, snowflakes, and Bible verses.  Each one turned out really nice.   Sarah is going to give a set of these to her teachers.  She has some men teachers, too, so I am happy to find something that I can give to both men and women.  (without the swirls, of course!) On little tip:  avoid the very smooth, glossy tiles — very hard to stamp on!

I gotta run for now………have a super day and I will be back in a day or two with some more projects! Here is a smile from Lindsey……….they sure do love this baby!!!  I couldn’t resist showing you this face!  Too Cute!!!

Happy day to you!  Dawn
