Hello friends! I survived my crazy weekend……..I have a scratchy throat and stuffy nose today — just praying I am not getting sick! We have tons of pictures and I hope to show a few of them to you as the week goes on. I am busy trying to get Christmas crafts made for teachers, friends, and family. Here are a few of the items that I worked on today….
First thing this morning, I wanted to get some tiles stamped for teacher gifts. My 6th grade daughter loved these and wanted to take them to all 10 of her teachers! So, I stamped some of them with these seasonal trees. I got the idea HERE. Thanks to my friend Deeleane for sending me this awesome link from Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Barb Mullikin. She used the Season of Friendship Stamp Set to make these Seasonal Coaster and I jumped on that idea! I am so happy with how they turned out. I used Craft Ink for all of them. They absorbed the ink quickly and I didn’t have to wait very long for them to dry. LOVE IT! These are NOT sprayed with Clear Sealer just yet. It is below freezing here, so we can’t spray them just yet! I purchased these at Home Depot and they are “tumbled stone”. They do have many “imperfections” but that makes us look like fabulous stampers! Right? The many little holes will allow the coaster to actually do its job and soak up the liquid like we want it to. All the while, looking gorgeous, too. I made some others with different designs and I will show you those tomorrow.
Here are the Winter and Spring tiles. The winter tile uses Close to Cocoa, Brocade Blue and Bravo Burgundy Craft Inks.
The Spring Tile uses Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink, Brocade Blue, and Mellow Moss Craft Inks.
Here are the Summer and Fall tiles. The Summer tile uses Green Galore, Glorious Green, Real Red, and Close to Cocoa Craft Inks.
The Fall tile uses More Mustard, Really Rust, Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa Craft Inks.
As I said before……..one of the easiest gifts I have ever made. I will add felt to the bottom of them and package them together as a lovely gift! You can cut full size squares of felt and glue them to the bottom, or you can purchase self-adhesive felt circles to add the bottom of the tiles.
I made 6 of these jars that I will fill with candy coated popcorn (with Christmas sprinkles, of course). These are the small Decor Elements that Stampin’ Up! sales. I just love how these apply so quickly and easily! I may add some cute little tags to them, but these are for some of our friends and neighbors. I just wanted to do a little something for them….
Please ignore the paper towel inside…….trust me it was for the photo only! YUMMY stuff will take its place!!!!
I also have 2 of these candy bowls waiting to be filled with Christmas goodies. I made these at the retreat I went to a few weeks ago. The peppermints are just for the photo……..I plan to fill the bowl to the brim with Christmas cookies or candies. I hope you have a great week……..I have a little bit of shopping left to do, but most of it is done! More tomorrow! Dawn
