Sorry I didn’t get to this yesterday…….things were hectic with me trying to get ready to leave. I am flying out this afternoon to Orlando for the annual Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference. I am taking the baby with me, so please pray that the flights go well (Waco to DFW and DFW to Orlando). Here is another look at the Mini Book from a couple of days age. This time I did it with Sweet Always paper (one of the few that is NOT RETIRING!!!)
Step 1: Cut ONE piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock for cover. Dimensions: 2 1/2″ x 10″. There are 2 here (I was making several of them at the time).
Step 2: Score at 2 1/4″, 5″, and 7 3/4″ (Note: THIS IS A CORRECTED MEASUREMENT — previously said 7 1/4″)
Step 3: Fold Book in half and fold each side piece in toward the center. Attach with SNAIL.
Step 4: Punch holes in the closed cover with a 1/8″ Punch. One hole with be near the “spine” and the other hole will be near the edge of the book. Both should be about 1/2″ from the edge of the cardstock.
Here is a finished look at the four holes when the book is opened out flat.
Step 5: Cut 3 pieces of DSP or cardstock for the “pages” of the book. Dimensions: 2 7/16″ x 5 1/8″
Step 6: F0ld each page in half and “nest” them one on top of the other.
Step 7: Lay the 3 pages down on top of your cover.
Step 8: Staple with one staple in the middle of the book. My stapler was not long enough to staple through the thicknesses so I had to do it like this……….on a stampin’ mat!
I pressed down with my stapler, similar to how you would do a bulletin board.
Then you have to press down the metal parts of the staple on the inside. Like this!
Step 9: Insert about 20″ of ribbon by weaving in and out of the holes you punched. It should look like this:
Tie it up and embellish as much as you desire!
To make the tag on this Mini Book, I inked up the saying (from a reriring stamp set) is Rose Romance. Then I took a Chocolate Chip marker and color in the “you” words to draw emphasis to them.
And here is the finished look….now don’t you want to make one yourself????

Love, love, love it! I have to make me one now! Have a fantastic time in Orlando – so jealous!
Hey, this is ‘Stinkin’ Cute”…but the last score measure should be 7 3/4 not 7 1/4! Hope you enjoyed leadership!
