TeePee Card

I know it is late tonight……..I meant to do this earlier in the day, but it just didn’t happen.  I have been frantically trying to get ready for my club classes on Monday and Tuesday.  I didn’t want to have the pressure of doing it all on Sunday, so I worked hard on that today.  I am almost there….

Here is a unique “card” that we did at my last workshop.  When it is laying flat, it fits in a standard envelope.  When you pop it up and fold it to make the teepee, your recipient can display it at home or on their desk!

Start with 3 squares that are 4″x4″ and score each of them once diagonally.  You will also need one half of a square (3 3/4″ square) of Designer Series Paper.

Lay them as shown in the photo and attach with Snail adhesive.  Be very careful to not put adhesive all over the triangle, as some of it will end up “exposed” and you will have a sticky mess!teepeecard3

You will need to use a craft knife to put a small slit in the far right triangle as shown above.  You will want to start with a SMALL cut and then make it larger if needed.  If you make it too large, the teepee won’t stay together (can you tell this is a voice of experience???).

Lastly, fold up your teepee — insert the left triangle into the slit you cut and you have a teepee!!!!teepeecard4

Embellish the front side as desired and send it to someone special!!!!teepeecard5
