Winner announced tomorrow!

I will draw a name on Friday  morning and post mid-morning…… send your comment now if you have not done so…..

Sorry to not have any exciting projects for you guys tonight……… is getting late.  I ended up setting up the concession stand this afternoon after school. This was my “football job” this past fall, so they asked me to help out for the Middle School Track Meet.   It’s not too bad — I just get all the stuff started and ready for the first shift of workers.  I tell them what to do and then I leave it with them!

Allyson was working at the track meet tonight helping with the times and she got a call that her boyfriend’s grandfather had been taken to the hospital.  I am not sure of the situation, but it is quite serious.  She wanted to go to the hospital (which is far away and not in a good part of town) so I ended up taking her up there after she could escape the track meet.  It killed about an hour of my evening when I might have done something creative!

Lindsey had cheerleader tryouts with the judges today after school.  She thinks it went pretty well.  They try out in front of the school tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.  Parents are allowed to watch, so I will go see her try out and then wait for a phone call tomorrow afternoon.

I will leave at noon to go to Houston with Sarah’s Middle School Drumline.  It is their final performance (state competition) of the year and I am going to ride the big yellow bus with them all the way to Houston and back………not exactly a “fun” thing, but one of those “mommy” things that I feel like I really need to do.  We should pull in by midnight — just in time for a little rest before the High School Track Meet on Saturday morning……….Allyson will pole vault at that meet.

So, are you tired yet???  I am tired just thinking of all that I have to do in the next 72 hours.  Sunday is no better  — Piano Recital, Bible Drill Church Competition, and the “regular” Sunday stuff, too.  Maybe I can rest on Monday!!!! Ha!  I can at least show you some photos on Monday……..lots of them!

Have a super weekend, and get some rest — for you and me BOTH!!!!!  I rest assured that these special days of being a busy mother will be gone before I know it and I will wish for these days to return.  I have heard it from so many “older” mothers……… I just keep on going like the Energizer Bunny!!!!
