This is my final “Christmas in July” post. Have no fear, I will still show you additional Christmas ideas, but I’m finished showing you the projects that I prepared for the two weeks I was out of the office. I made this card last fall at Lindsey’s retreat. It uses some items that have been retired, but I loved the layout and I think it is an easy one to duplicate with current catalog merchandise. The blue and green cardstocks are from last year’s In Color collection, so you would need to use some different colors when creating this card. The snowflake stamps are also unavailable but we have many different snowflakes in the current Idea Book and Catalog. I can also tell you that there are several snowflakes in the new Mini Catalog (available Sept. 1) so you might see something in that catalog that will work, also. To create the wreath, you will stamp the snowflakes using Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze. Then you will lightly apply some ink (in the same colors) using a sponge dauber. This creates the pretty “halo effect” around the snowflakes. The red centers (berries) are simply 1/4″ hole punches that I glued down on top of the green snowflakes. The verse is from the stamp set “Heard from the Heart”.
I hope you have enjoyed the projects and will come back to visit me soon. I am so excited about stamping some new projects now that I have a ton of new ideas! Have a great weekend. I will be home Sunday evening.
