Good morning to all of you! I hope you enjoyed your weekend — a longer 3 day weekend — and feel refreshed and ready to tackle the “shorter” week! I was so glad to have the day with my family and not feel pressured to get out of the house early this morning. (Back to the 6:30 a.m. volleyball practices tomorrow, though!) I had a great time scrapbooking in my jammies most of the weekend. We didn’t put on makeup and didn’t set an alarm, and didn’t do anything we didn’t want to do! It was a very productive time for me, too! I completed 55 pages in my girls’ albums and finished a few final touches on some partially done pages. I was thrilled to feel a little more caught up on their book (emphasis on LITTLE)……..still so much more I want to do, though! I will show you a couple of my pages today, and a few more as the week goes on. I need to add a disclaimer, though, that they don’t use Stampin’ Up! products (for the most part) and this may shock some of you. I won’t try to justify anything, just that I love to shop for scrapbooking products everywhere I go……..and I go alot a places. I love our products and never make a card with anything else………but my scrapbooking branches out in every direction! Hope you understand!
This first page uses the Stampin’ Up! Simply Scrappin’ Kit called Home Sweet Home. Although it is retired, I found a few pieces left-over from last year, and I think this turned out really cute. It went together in about 10 minutes……..that is incredible! Our Simply Scrappin’ Kits are so fast and easy…….you will love them!
This next page is my favorite from the weekend!!! I didn’t copy this idea, either. I came up with this all on my own (RARE!!!). I wanted to do something with this photo of Zachary and Allyson when they first became friends last summer. I took this photo (at HER request) one of the first times he came to the house last summer. They are still together (14 months later) so I really wanted to add this to her summer pages. The photo was taken on July 18th last year, but the journaling done this weekend. I included a “close-up” of the speech bubble………..most of you will enjoy reading it and laughing along with me. Allyson has seen this page, and laughed her head off. She can’t wait to show it to Zachary!
