Felt Flurries Frames

Ever have one of those moments when you thought you had a great idea, but then after you try it out, it turns out differently?  I had one of those moments last night.  I bought these inexpensive frames at Ikea last month, and I had this “grand” idea to put my Felt Flurries around the edges of the frame.  I thought it would look perfect!  Now, I will let you be the judge.  I can’t decide if I like it or not….maybe too much?  A little “overkill” on the snowflakes?  Maybe I was just frustrated with my lack of time to be creative……..or maybe just being too critical.  Who knows?  But I’d appreciate your comments if you think this is nice, or just plain tacky looking.

So, here is my second attempt.  I added just a few clusters of flurries in the corner, and balanced it out with some ribbons on the opposite corner.  What do you think of this one?  Definitely quicker, cheaper, and easier to do.  But it was NOT my original idea.  HMMMM….

So would you like to purchase these Felt Flurries? Although they were an item we sold LAST year, you can find them on our “Clearance Rack” online.  They are only $5.99 per package!!!

  1. Dawn,
Both frames are cute, but I like the 2nd one the best. Just my opinion.
    Have a great day.

  2. I’m a fan of the second frame. Love the simple look. But, if you put maybe a black and white not-too-busy photo in the first frame, I think it would be just fine!

    • The first frame is just “fun”, not tacky. I can see a really cute “foto” for it. Second one is just more safisticated.

  3. Dawn, I like the first one however I think it would need a strong yet simple picture (something that would not be overwhelmed by the flurries yet not be busy either).
