Very Thankful Candy Holder

This is a little candy holder that I made for my workshop this past weekend at Jo’s house.   It was one of our Make and Takes — and we put Kit Kat Candy Bars inside (I liked the red color on their wrapper).  This is my sample, though, and all I had was Hershey’s.  You could add any type of small, slender candy or gum in this little slot.   I got this idea from my friend Danielle, who is a demonstrator in the Houston area.  She had put a cardstock “belly band” around the holder instead of the ribbon.  It was perfectly adorable, but I decided that a ribbon would be less confusing for my class.  Plus, I’m really “in” to ribbon…….gotta have it on ALL my projects!  I suppose that I’m stuck on it even more because my precious girls won’t wear ribbons in their hair any more!

So, here’s how to make this little treat……..

*Start with cardstock measuring 2 3/4″ x 9″ (Gable Green in the sample)

*Score at 3 1/2″, 4″, 7 1/2″, and 8″

* Punch with Word Window Punch about 1/2″ up from the shortest end left after you scored.

*Add a small piece of Sticky Strip above the Word Window slot to hold this down.

* Add candy bar in the slot and tie ribbon LOOSELY around the bottom section.

* Front Piece measures 2 1/4″ x 2 1/2″ (Green Galore)

*Attach front piece with 2 Dimensionals at the top 2 corners ONLY.

*Stamp and punch front piece as desired.

This stamp set is called Very Thankful and has four images shown below.  This is our annual Ronald McDonald House set.  If you purchase this stamp set,  Stampin’ Up! will donate $2 of the proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.  We have raised millions of dollars for them over the years.  What a great way to help out!Very Thankful Stamp Set (Item # 115338, $14.95)
