Yesterday when the sun came out, it shone so brightly on the snow we had on Tuesday……and the birds were singing praises for the beautiful weather! It was such a stark contrast to the day before and such a reminder that God is sovereign! Although the beautiful snow quickly melted away, it was gorgeous while it lasted and I was thankful that I could experience the beauty of the season. Priase the Lord!
But, back to the pretty little bird……when I listened to the birds singing, and saw the momma bird working on her nest on the back porch, I was reminded of our bird door hangers we made last week at our club class. I forgot to show you this final project last week! These chipboard birds are designed to make into a chipboard book, but have many other uses. I loved the idea from our Stampin’ Success magazine (our demonstrator magazine) that inspired me to do this project at my club class. We stamped the Medallion using VersaMark ink and embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. It was a gorgeous tone-on-tone accent. I used a retired alphabet set from MANY years ago called “Little Letters”. I really like the curvy, feminine look that they give to my projects when I use them. One of my all-time favorite alphabets! The final accents are “Sweet Pea Felt Accents” from the Mini Catalog. I’m sure you’ve noticed that I really like those (I just can’t stop putting them on everything!)………and the gorgeous Chocolate Satin Ribbon provides the hanger. If I didn’t explain it well enough, let me know!
