Faux Metal Ceiling Tiles

Today I would like to show you one of our club projects from March.  This idea came from Diana Gibbs’ Blog and can be found HERE.  I would like to give her FULL credit for the fantastic idea and the video tutorial is equally fantastic!  Her watercoloring is far superior to mine, but I do hope that someday I can perfect my skills in that department.  She is unbelievable!  So, here is what we made…..

I actually made one small error on my sample.  When you use the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, you want to have the “Stampin’ Up! Logo” facing up and the silver embossed paper facing up.  If you do, the raised image of the Finial Press Plate will be raised UP.  Mine is actually empressed DOWN because I put my plate upside down.  So, it creates a nice effect either way, but you need to do it logo side UP if you want the image to be raised UP.  Mine is just the opposite, but it didn’t bug me enough to make another one.  Isn’t it wonderful the neat things we learn when we make a mistake???
