Quilt for Hailey’s Benefit

I haven’t done any more stamping this week, but I wanted to show you the quilt I’m working on for Hailey’s Cancer Benefit.  She is a freshman at our local high school who is undergoing chemo and radiation for a brain tumor.  I decided to make a quilt in our school colors (and leopard print for the Leopards!) — and I’m hoping it will do well at the silent auction.  It is just a small way that I wanted to help out in hopes of raising some money for Hailey’s treatment and other family expenses.  I am adding another border in the red print that is about 6″ wide.  So, invision the red border, and you’ll get the full picture.  Another mom in our district will be machine quilting it, and then it will be ready for the benefit!  I’m thrilled with how it turned out.  It is a rather simple pattern, but I needed something that would go together QUICKLY……so many irons in the fire right now.  Had to work fast!

That’s all for now.  We have a busy weekend!  Lindsey has a prom tomorrow that she is going to with a friend from church, we have a family wedding that the rest of us are going to, and then the usual activities on top of that……never a dull moment!

Oh, and Lindsey finds out if she made Varsity Cheerleader this afternoon…….I will follow with an update asap.  Have a great weekend and come back Monday for some stampin’ stuff!

EDITED NOTE:  I totally forgot (in my excitement!) to update the blog…….but YES, Lindsey did make the Varsity Cheerleading Squad!!!!  We are super excited, although I am seeing lots of dollar signs right now……cha ching, cha ching!
