Playful Pieces Hostess Set

I’d like to show you some cards that I made for my hostess last week.  I went to McKinney to do a workshop for a very dear friend, Michelle, who used to live in Waco.  It was so, so fun to see her and “catch up” on our lives.  Her four children have grown so much…..and I loved sharing some Stampin’ Up! projects with her and her guests.  I gave her a set of 8 cards for a hostess gift, and I used our new Level 3 Hostess Set called Playful Pieces.  I made SUPER simple cards by using several of the shapes in the set, although there are MANY more options available.  You can see this set on page 15 — check out the 30 PIECE SET…!  Lots of little pieces to play with!  Here’s a sampling of what you can do with them.

These first 2 cards are baby cards… boy, one girl…

Next I made a shopping bag……guess I know how to shop almost as good as I know how to take care of a baby!

And then I opted for a birthday present and chose a neutral color so she’d have one for a boy or a girl.

Lastly, I made a flower pot card with “Get Well Wishes”.  Seems like I never have those cards around when I need them.  I made 2 of each card, so hopefully Michelle will find these cards helpful in the days to come.

I wrapped them up and made a cute tag to go on them with her initial…..but forgot to photograph that part!  However, I made gift tags for some birthday gifts that Sarah needed last Friday, and the tags will be on the blog tomorrow.  So, you’ll get to see it — kinda!
