Party Favor Treat Boxes

I found a few minutes to stamp today, and I decided to make a few of the Party Favor Treat Boxes.  This is a new die for the Big Shot and I pre-ordered it first thing!  I’m looking forward to using it for many different occasions and holidays.  Today’s samples were “just for fun” so I could get a feel for how the die goes together and how much time it takes, etc.  It was really quick and easy — and I can’t wait to make more of them!

I would like to make special note that you really need the Premium Crease Pad for this die.  It greatly helps the score lines to be more defined.  You will also want to crease the paper on all of the folds before assembling the box.  It will make the ends “twist and fold” much easier.

To make the “baby” box, I used the Whimsy Jumbo Wheel (page 218) on the box using Versamark Ink.  Then I stamped the greeting from A Word For You (page 148) with Early Espresso Ink.  I assembled the box and added the giraffe image from Fox and Friends (page 96) using Dimensionals.  I tied Marina Mist and Early Espresso Narrow Taffeta Ribbon on the ends of the box.

The second box is made using Pink Pirouette Cardstock and the Level 1 Hostess Set called Birthday Bakery.  I tied the ends up with Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, and colored the tag with River Rock, Pink Pirouette, and Real Red Markers.   I took a photo of the end so you can see how the ends fold up and twist.

This is just one of MANY MANY new products in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I hope you will take the time to look at the catalog online, or call me and let me mail one to you.  You will LOVE all the new goodies.  If I can only find time to use them all….

I know that many of you think that I have ALL DAY LONG to stamp and play……but let me assure you that there are so many things to fill the hours of my days, and I only WISH that I could sit and stamp all day…..I also have several sewing projects that I am working on for Christmas gifts and I love sewing as much as I love stamping.  It is a huge toss-up when I do have some free time in my day……..what to do?  Stamp?  Scrapbook?  Sew?  I guess I have too many hobbies……hmmm, what is a girl to do?
