Medallion Sympathy Cards

Today”s post features four Sympathy Cards that I made this weekend.  I really don’t like having to make Sympathy cards, but it seems that I need more and more of them these days.  Sad, but true.  So, when I make them, I try to make several of them at a time. I used Basic Gray, Whisper White, and Elegant Eggplant for all cards.  These four cards are very similar, but not exactly…..

Version #1 features Basic Gray Satin Ribbon and “Sharing in your Sorrow” from the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set.  I used one of the new Antique Brads in the center of the Medallion.  I’m lovin’ these brads!

Version #2 features a different center for the Medallion, different greeting from “Teeny Tiny Wishes” and different punches.  To make the center, I stamped the Medallion on a scrap piece of paper and punched out the center with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch.  I punched an Elegant Eggplant 1 3/8″ Circle and mounted them with Dimensionals.  Another one of the a Antique Brads is in the center.

Version #3 is similar to #1, minus the  ribbon.  The center is slightly different — I added a 1″ circle of Elegant Eggplant and another style of the Antique  Brads.  You have now seen THREE out of FIVE of the Antique Brads.  The other 2 designs have more of a brown/copper type of finish.  I did not think they looked good on this card’s color scheme.  However, all 5 designs are really nice, and you get 20 of them for $5.95.

Version #4 has the verse from Card #2 and a different ribbon.  This is the 5/8″ White Organza Ribbon sold on page 190.
