This is the third and final project we made at my clubs this week. I found this pretty ribbon technique just by accident when looking at some blogs. You can see this (and other fantastic projects) at Barb’s Blog. She has some great techniques and samples! I have enjoyed using the new Cottage Garden stamp set and the new coordinating DSP Sunny Garden. The colors used on this card are Very Vanilla, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizazz, and Peach Parfait. The 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon has been wrapped or woven through the scallops created with the Scallop Border Punch. How creative is that? I loved it and now you will definitely want this punch, right?
Now for a little fun stuff — not that stamping isn’t fun, but I’m talking family fun, now!
Yesterday Allyson and I went to Belton (about 35 minutes away) to visit another college — The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. It is another small school that she is interested in. We have several recent grads from her High School that attend there, and two of them play football there. We had a great lunch with two of them, took a campus tour, and got a packet of information. She has already been accepted, pending the arrival of her test scores to the university. She is thrilled to have another choice and it is a great school. I’m not sure if being this close to home is a good idea, or not. I can see both sides of it……..so, we shall see.
Another fun picture of Josiah…….today he is SIX MONTHS old! He is doing great! This photo was taken at the football game last Friday night. He’s a real trooper……never fusses and goes along with whatever activity we drag him, too. Guess he was the perfect baby for us to get!
And one more thing…..Kimi turned TWO YEARS OLD on Wednesday (my Anniversary day) and we are going to her birthday party tomorrow morning. We are so, so excited to see her in person (last time we saw her was July). She is now walking short distances and saying “mama” and “dada”. We will also get to meet all of her new grandparents and cousins. Praise the Lord for these sweet, precious people who are allowing us to be a part of her life. I can’t imagine not knowing how she is doing……..God is good!!!!
