My Digital Monday: Hugs & Kisses

I’m a little late posting today….sorry!  I was so tired after the SuperBowl last night and I decided to go on to bed and not work on the blog stuff.  Last Monday I totally forgot about “My Digital Monday” — and I posted something else.  I guess my new habit has not turned into a “habit” just yet!  But, anyway, I quickly worked on a “love” or “Valentine’s” card — and I emphasize the word QUICKLY!  I love how quick and easy it is to make things with My Digital Studio!  I need some card to send out to a few friends this week, so I’ll print this out and see how I like it……..or keep on creating others and see what I like best.  I need to have them mailed out by Wednesday, I suppose.

The base of this card is Kraft Textured Cardstock.  The heart in the middle is from the Stamp Brush Set “Always” and the heart on the right is from the Stamp Brush Set “Best Wishes and More”.  The heart on the left is actually a punch, not a stamp.  I was able to fill it in with Designer Paper in Cherry Cobbler Polka Dots and voila!  Now I have 3 hearts that I love!  I was also able to re-size them in 3 seconds, and make them all have a more elongated shape so that they all looked good to me.  I love stitching, as you know, so framing out the card with zig-zags was a nice touch for me.  Oh, one more thing, the little red “flower” on the center heart is a brad, but I layered it UNDER the heart to just emphasize the heart just a little bit.

So, I know this is simple, but that’s what I wanted.  I could go on and on and on with this digital stuff.  I could add and subtract forever, and never decide on a final product.  That is the “beauty” of digital, but also the “curse” of digital.  You can always add more, or not!  I decided to stop here.  I’m going to print this out and see what I think.  I’ll post the “real” version tomorrow.

I also have an adorable name tag to show you that I forgot to take pictures of yesterday.  I started a new Quilting Class yesterday on Hand Applique.  I am so excited, and have fun friends taking the class with me!  We were encouraged to make a name tag, so I made mine with all Stampin’ Up! products.  I’m hoping that it will lead to some future conversations with other ladies about my love for PaperCrafting and allow me to share our fabric lines with these quilters, as well.  My name tag has my favorite colors, and my favorite punch — can you guess which one it is?  You can think on this until tomorrow!
