Punched Owl Name Tag

This is the name tag that I made for my sewing class on Saturday.  I wanted to make something that had several of my favorite things.  I wanted it to match my personality.  I love the cute, whisical owls that are popular right now.  My favorite colors are pink and green — and I really like the pink and brown combination, too.   I think Stampin’ Up! has some of the most gorgeous ribbons — and the striped grosgrain ribbon is one of my favorites.  So, here is what I designed to incorporate a few of my favorite things.  What do you think?

I wanted to point out that many times we tend to think that the Striped Grosgrain Ribbon is too wide and bulky for our projects.  It can also get a little expensive to use, so you want to use it sparingly.  Well……notice that I cut it in half to use on this card, and frayed the edges.  It takes on a shabby chic type of look, and it will last twice as long!   So, this entire nametag used Stampin’ Up! products and I’m hoping it will give me an opportunity to SHARE WHAT I LOVE…..and hopefully my sewing friends will ask about my business.

Oh, and I got distracted with some other projects today………and didn’t print out the My Digital Studio card.  Sorry!  But here’s a sneak peek at what I did work on….
