Getting back into the groove…

Yep!  Getting back into the swing of things around here……and headed to VBS this morning!  It will be a great week — I get the joy of being with the babies in the nursery!  I can’t wait!  I’m still a little tired from our trip, but it was all worth it.  Sleep is over-rated anyways, huh?  I wish I could say that I think I’ll find time to stamp this week, but it is looking doubtful.  But I have lots of new goodies that we were able to pre-order from the new Stampin’ Up! catalog… maybe.  I have lots of project ideas – for stamping and sewing.  I think I better figure out how to add more hours to my day 🙂

Today’s Stampin’ Project is a little box of notecards that my dear friend Dee brought to me at our Club Class.   I think you will really like this idea and creative color combination.  And the embossing is so pretty on the cards…

I believe that Dee used Sahara and Blushing Bride for the color combo.  I love the tag — using 3 of our punches!  WOW!

If you zoom in on the notecards, you will see that they are very simple and elegant.  The embossing dresses them up and the layered cardstock creates a frame.  I’m going to try this on my next card.  Such a great idea!  The crocheted trim is not a Stampin’ Up! product, but Dee knows how much I love this look!

I hope you also enjoy seeing some of the things others create…… inspires me so much!

On a personal note, Charles’ dad is having a port put in today and his chemo begins tomorrow.   In addition, Josiah will probably be leaving at the end of the week, or first of next week.  It’s time, and we’ve had lots of time to prepare our hearts, but it just never gets easier to say goodbye.  Even when we know we have to.  Maybe it is a good thing that I have so much to keep busy with…

  1. Dawn,

We will be praying for Charles Dad. Please keep me posted. Michael talked to him in Sunday School Sunday and we could tell he is very concerned. Just know we will pray for him daily.
I like the notecards. See I like things like this. To me it would make great gifts for our friends. Very nice.
Take care and maybe we can meet up soon.
    Your friend, Deborah D
