Happy New Year!

Good morning and Happy New Year!  I’ve been enjoying the Christmas Break with family, and Charles has been off work, too.  I abandoned the blog for awhile, but I’ll get back to regular posts soon.  I have a few gifts that I’d like to show you — now that they have been given away!  I’ll try to get photos up and get back to some stampin’ projects soon, too.

We rang in the New Year with several friends from church……..we grilled burgers, played games, lit up a few fireworks (the sissy kind), and shared some kisses at midnight!  It was a very fun night……..and I am so glad we had friends over.  We usually stay at home wtih the baby and sit around doing little much of nothing.  I always regret it when I hear of others who were laughing and smiling all night.  So, I have started a new tradition………..and we will not be sitting around on New Year’s Eve any more!  It was a great way to spend the evening.  We  were missing Allyson and Joel, but they were in Wichita Falls with his family.  They came back to Waco yesterday………and all is right with the world!  Here’s a little photo of the girls and their boyfriends last night as we watched OSU pull out an overtime victory — what a game it was! Not a good quality photo — taken on my phone — but it was so sweet to see all of them laughing and teasing each other.  Giggling and talking until after midnight……makes my heart happy!!!!

New Year’s Eve Photos

This is a dear friend of mine, Michelle Picard.  We have been friends for about 12 years and our girls have grown up together over the years.

A few of the men……..not really wanting their photo taken, but good sports!

The kids did Guitar Hero quite a bit……..and I mainly wanted to show you our new TV and the custom frame that Charles built to go around it.  It has turned out gorgeous!!!!  Merry Christmas to me!  And you can barely see the antique dresser/buffet under the TV…..but he also refinished it for me and it is being re-purposed as our Media Cabinet.  It is also gorgeous!  We found it at a little antique store and it just needed a little TLC and some darker stain on it……….and hubby did all that for me, too!  I think I better keep him around (not that I ever had any doubts!)!!!

Sarah and her best friend McKenna also had a fun night….

Lindsey and Michael playing Guitar Hero….

Apples to Apples………with almost all of us playing…..lots of laughs!

Michael, Lindsey, Bri, and Reed……..

Outside at midnight trying to light the fireworks in some very strong wind.  It  was crazy fun!

So, that’s all for now.  Have a great day!  I’ll be back on schedule next week when the kids get back in school.  Club classes are next week, too, so I think I better start figuring out what we are going to make next week!
