Well……..I finally got my desk cleared off and found a little time to be creative this weekend. I was able to clean house and do laundry on Saturday in record time (even with baby “helping” me) and spent some of the afternoon naptime in my office. After a quick cleaning session — and putting things back where they belong — I found some card ideas that I had printed off of blogs. I didn’t re-invent the wheel, but I cased a few things and had fun adding my own papers and inks. This card uses “Strength and Hope” with some Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper. What intrigued me the most about this card was the use of the large circle cut-out at the edge of the card — and how it serves as a frame, but it is not centered on the card. Such a neat use of negative space!
I sponged almost everything on this card with Early Espresso ink for a vintage-y look.
I also used alot of Dimensionals to pop up the Sahara Sand cardstock and also the beautiful butterfly. The pearls added some more dimension and dressed up the card. Hope you like this idea! And of course, I wish I could give proper credit, but I have no idea where I got this lovely idea!
