I’m home from a fantastic week at Stampin’ Up! Convention 2012. I am “de-programming” and trying to settle back in to reality. I have one of two suitcases unpacked, and I’m trying to get motivated to move a little faster this morning. Lindsey left for Children’s Camp (she’s helping run the recreation time) and Sarah has tumbling this morning, so I’m up and going early! Not that we weren’t up early this past week (we were!) — but it’s a little different when you are pumped and excited for Stampin’ Up! stuff!
I will enjoy sharing SO MANY new things with you over the next few weeks and months…….but today I wanted to show you the little gifts that I made for my roomies. We have been roomies for about 10 years, and I have enjoyed sewing something for them the last couple of years. These are some little notebooks using a pattern from This & That and you can find it HERE. It is called “Nifty Notes” and it is Pattern #118. When you go to that link, scroll down to the bottom and you will see it. I purchased my pattern from a local quilt shop — perhaps your local shop sells it, or you can always purchase it online.
I made these using some of Stampin’ Up!’s awesome fabric lines! If you have not purchased any of their oversized fat quarters, may I encourage you to try them out? Please contact me and let me show you all of the new choices. I made a few others, but I accidentaly gave them away before I photographed them.
These gorgeous combos with Real Red and Tempting Turquoise are found in the Summer Smooches fabric line. Don’t you want some of this?
This is the new fabric collection called Comfort Cafe……….love the Pool Party and Soft Suede combo!
This is the Twitterpated Fabric line….love the pinks!
Of course, this last one is NOT our fabric………this was purchased at one of my favorite quilt shops in McKinney, Texas — The Quilt Asylum.
