Missing Denver and working on Halloween Cards

I got home last night from a fantastic trip to Denver.  My girlfriend Charley, who now lives in Phoenix, also came to Denver.  We had a great time together and she even let me shop at TWO quilt shops in Denver.  What a true friend — she doesn’t even sew at all!  We discovered a precious tiny little bitty town called Georgetown and enjoyed the scenic drive about an hour away from Denver.  It was such wonderful “girltime” and we had so much fun talking and getting caught up on each other’s lives.  I miss Colorado — the mountains and the cool breezes — and I sure miss my Charley!  Here are a few photos we took along the journey…

We happened upon a cute little shop with both Quilting and Knitting supplies.  A hidden gem in this little town.  I was wishing my friends who knit could see the gorgeous yarns they had for sale.  Really, really nice stuff for such a tiny little town nested in the mountains.

I sure do miss my dear friend, Charley, and I sure do miss Colorado!  It was so cool and so beautiful!

I spent most of my time today working on some Stampin’ Up! projects (in between loads of laundry) for my Downline Meeting and my October Club Classes.  However, I decided to make a couple of Halloween cards, too.  Here’s a simple little card using Googlie Ghouls.  I used Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie cardstock to make this card come to life!  Hope you enjoy this simple idea with no coloring– quick and easy!
