“Tea for Two” Butterflies Card

Tea for Two Butterflies 1

The butterflies and the “tea party” joined forces to make a lovely card, don’t you think?  This is one of this easiest cards to make, once you figure out the “perfect” width for the strip of DSP.  I think I tried 3 times — I wanted it to be a nice, round number, and it really isn’t.  But if you go with 1 5/8″, you are pretty close to perfect.

You will need 3 strips of your favorite DSP to punch out 3 butterflies, and then 3 solid, coordinating cardstock scraps for the new Baby Butterfly.  No, that’s not really what the punch is called, but it works for me.  🙂

Slide your DSP strip in just far enough to cut the edge of the cardstock even with the edges of the Large Butterfly wings.  Position your strips to your desire, leaving one of them short so you can stamp a verse on your card.  It doesn’t even have to be in the middle, that’s just what I decided.  “Just Because” is from the new Sale-A-Bration set called “Vintage Verses”.

Of course, you’ll want to add rhinestones or pearls in the centers, just because it adds so much to your card!  Gotta have some sparkle and shine!  have a great day…….and I’ll be back tomorrow to show you one of our Club projects for February.  One of my classes meets tomorrow, so I will be having fun tomorrow night with my club gals!
