Gift Card Holders using the Envelope Punch Board

I was inspired by so many projects at Leadership!  I always come home so rejuvenated and eager to craft 24 hours a day!  Something called “life” gets in my way, so I have to steal snippets of time late at night……and it makes me so thankful that our little one still takes naps on Saturday and Sunday.  Today’s project was inspired by one that we saw from Sara Douglass on the Main Stage during Stampin’ Up!’s Leadership conference.  Here is the original….

I used this concept to make 3 varieties for my class members.  They could choose which one they wanted to make, and they loved it!  The bottom portion is the smalled envelope on the Envelope Punch Board which starts with a 5×5 piece of cardstock.  Once you have made your envelope, just chop of the top flap, and you have your holder for the gift card.  Then use a second piece of cardstock and trim it to the same width as the envelop (approx. 2 3/4″) and attach it to the back side of your envelope.  Using your scoring blade, score and fold, score and fold, score and fold, until you have it all wrapped up nicely.  Finish it off by tying some ribbon, twine, or whatever you desire!  Add a tag if desired…….of course you want a tag!

Do you like the Polka Dots?  The large ones were created with a Sponge Dauber.  The small ones were created with a Pencil Eraser…..easy and fun!
