Stampin’ Up’s annual Sale-A-Bration has begun, and this is one of my favorite stamps! Such a simple little word, in a sweet little font, with such great potential to brighten someone’s day! When I plan my classes, I work hard to make sure my gals are constantly using new products and new techniques that they haven’t purchased, or perhaps overlooked in the catalog. I must confess, even I had overlooked the Happy Patterns stencils that you see on the background of this card. And I totally missed the fact that we have an Embossing Folder that coordinates with it, also! This all-0ccasion version was made using Rose Red ink and sponge dauber — lightly sponging the pattern. The birthday sample below is much darker, but I pressed harder and created a bolder pattern. Each one looks nice, but the first one took much less time to create!
This cute little stamp set has a few smaller images, such as the party hat, so my gals were able to pick what worked best for their needs. I will try to edit this post later to include a photo of all the images in the stamp set. I’m having trouble getting my new computer to do what I want it to do. (I’m still learning how to do everything on a MAC!) But, all the other supplies we used are shown below. I also used the new heavy weight Whisper White Cardstock on this card so they would see how nice it is for card bases. If you haven’t tried it out, I highly recommend it! No more floppy cards!
