Honeycomb Hello Part 2

Honeycomb Hello Cards

I had alot of fun making additional Paper Piecing Cards using Honeycomb Hello this past weekend.  You may remember the cute little chicks from my last post, but I also wanted to show my Stamp Club ladies some additional samples in case they liked them better.  It gave them some ideas on how valuable the set might be (beyond a baby chick) and a few of them created the balloon card simply to avoid cutting out the chick!  But I was reminded how fun it is to paper piece.

For the Ice Cream card, I used Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla, and Tip Top Taupe on the scoops.  The cone is colored with a Blender Pen and Soft Suede Ink.

For the Balloon cards, I colored the ribbon image with a gold marker, and then added the Gold 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon on top of the “Happy Birthday” card.  I wasn’t sure if I liked the ribbon or not, so I left it off of the “Hang in There” version.

All of the sayings on these cards were embossed with Gold Stampin’ Embossing Powder. Supplies are shown below.

Card Dimensions:

  • Whisper White Base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
  • Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky Layer:  4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Whisper White Top Layer”  3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Small scraps needed for the paper piecing
