Watercolor Happy Birthday Card

Tonight’s class features five watercoloring cards.  I’m so excited to teach my customers more about this technique and allow them to be “artists” for the evening.  I can’t wait to see how everyone’s cards turn out, because when you watercolor,  no two cards are ever identical!  You can even “mess up” your card when you are watercoloring, and no one will ever know!  I really enjoy the freedom of using the Aqua Painters and letting the slow flow of water determine the destiny of the ink.  We are also using all 5 of the newest In Colors for our cards tonight, so this will let my ladies play with those colors and {hopefully} fall in love with them, too!  This card uses Powder Pink, Berry Burst, and Fresh Fig to make wide brushstrokes across the Watercolor Paper.

After letting it thoroughly dry, I added the new “Happy Birthday” Thinlit to the front (using the new Adhesive Sheets, woohoo!!!) and a few of our new Glitter Enamel Dots.  I am in LOVE the these little dots — and they are “ombre” — there are lots of different shades in the same package.  Really nice for dressing up the card and giving it the finished look!  Slight variations in the two cards….do you like the lighter color on top?  Or on the bottom?  I couldn’t decide, so I made two cards!  Actually, I almost always make 2 cards when I’m stamping.  I enjoy having multiples to share with friends and coworkers!
