Good masculine cards are hard to come by! And when I saw this one that Connie made, I knew I wanted to CASE it. Special thanks to Connie for always posting the greatest projects! At first glance, you may just think this card is created with one piece of Stampin’ Up!’s awesome wood-grain paper…….but look again. It is actually made with 1″ strips that are cut, sponged for shading, and then attached to cardstock on the diagonal for a true “wood plank” look. Isn’t this cool??? Yes, it takes up a little more paper, and yes, it takes a little more time to create, but the amazing end-product is totally worth it, don’t you think?
I also wanted to provide my customers with an “easier” version of this same card. I knew that a couple of ladies would prefer to make a quicker card, so I was realistic and prepared another sample, shown below. To make this card even quicker, make sure you use the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets that Stampin’ Up! offers. I attached it to Old Olive and to the wood grain paper that I used for the word “friend”. No more messing with glue all over the place! This is a wonderful product that many don’t even realize we sell! Details on all supplies used are shown below.
