About Me

12188941_10208193290008863_6907123702164639437_n Thanks for visiting my Blog!  I  squeeze creativity into my life as much as possible, and this is my place for sharing it all with you.  I was previously a very active Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator for 20 years, but that has taken a backseat these days to allow more time for family, travel, and sewing.  I am passionate about sewing quilts and I’m constantly working to expand my knowledge.  My love for sewing began as a young child watching my mother sew, and I’m thankful she passed on the creative genes to me!   I have 3 adult daughters, 2 son-in-laws (with a third one joining us soon!), and a precious 9  year old that we adopted.  We were foster parents for 14 years, but now we are foster grandparents!  I work outside the home at a community bank, and love my job!  In addition to creative outlets, I am in love with coffee and mountains!

I’m very excited about your new blog. I hope it works out for you. Can’t wait to get lots of inspiration and creativity from you!!!

  5. Dawn,

I love reading about your sweet family and seeing your beautiful cards! I just have to know how you are able to give up those precious babies after caring for them. Is it hard? Sure do miss seeing you!

  6. The girls are so grown up! I am enjoying seeing your cards and creativity… it’s inspiring. ~Sara

  7. Try to catch you every few days or so. Loved the pictures of the girls at the meets. In fact, say Lindsey last Sunday and she is losing some weight. Hope not too much as she looks wonderful just as she is. All of your girls are precious and beautiful though. Sweet too. How special is that!!!!!!

Keeping Charles in our prayers for his upcoming procedure. Just realized that April 10 is my mother’s 92nd birthday so will be having a party for her and won’t be at work to have access to a computer for updates so keep us posted.

We love all of you a bunch.

  8. Hey Dawn,

I love your blog. You are soooo high tech. I’m very impressed.

    Hugs and kisses,

  9. I love the Josh Groban music playing on your blog but I’m not familiar at all with the piano tribute cd. Do you own this CD and if so where did you purchase it. I wonder if the big box music stores carry it? Thanks so much.

  10. Hi Dawn,

I LOVE the acrylic clip board. How about a little mor info… Did you heat set it or put a sealer on?
I was concerned it would scratch off easily–was
that an issue? Think I am going to have to try it. I have done some altered clipboards that I really like, but never even though of doing what
you did. Thanks for your inspiration.

  11. Dawn – if you still have space available in your May 16th session, I would like to sign up.
