Quilted Journals (part 2)

These are the other 2 fabric choices that I used for my quilted journals.  If you haven’t read yesterday’s post, please scroll on down for the details, the pattern, and all the scoop!  I also made one more, for myself, using some of my 30’s Reproduction fabrics.  I forgot to photograph that one, so I’ll show it to you next week when I am home from convention.  I will be flying home tomorrow…….say prayers for…

Quilted Journals

I worked on these last week, and couldn’t wait to show them to you!  But……..had to wait until they were delivered at Convention before “spilling the bean” since they all read my blog! The flowers on the journals were made with the Big Shot and the Flower Folds die cut on page 208.  I used the smallest and second-smallest flowers.  I put a layer of batting between the fabric and then hand-stitched around the edges. …

I’m back!

We have just gotten home from a week-long Family Vacation!  We had a wonderful time in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Branson, Missouri.  We had a little bit of rain, but not enough to dampen our spirits or keep us from doing anything………just enough to keep us covered in clouds and keep the temperatures down.  I will look forward to sharing some photos throughout the week.  On our way home today, we stopped by Greenville and…

Beautiful Wings “Sorry” card

Hello friends!  I’m headed out of town this weekend for a fun time scrapbooking with some of my favorite customers.  I’m so glad they invited me, and now that the baby is gone, I could use a little time away and some laughter.  They are promising to entertain me all weekend and not let me cry!  I have already prepared a new post for Monday since Allyson and I will be going to Hardin-Simmons University…

Sympathy Cards

Unfortunately, I have been in need of Sympathy cards here lately.  I like to keep them on hand, and I have run out.  It seems like I’m never really in the mood to make them, but I decided to make a few yesterday.  I saw this design in our Stampin’ Success Demonstrator Magazine (one of my favorite demonstrator perks) and decided to create it in two color schemes.  Maybe it will give you an idea…

Faux Metal Ceiling Tiles

Today I would like to show you one of our club projects from March.  This idea came from Diana Gibbs’ Blog and can be found HERE.  I would like to give her FULL credit for the fantastic idea and the video tutorial is equally fantastic!  Her watercoloring is far superior to mine, but I do hope that someday I can perfect my skills in that department.  She is unbelievable!  So, here is what we made….. I…

Happy Birthday, Trina!

One day last week, I was invited to a very special birthday for a friend who was turning 40!  She and I have been friends for a number of years, and through her, I also became friends with her mom and her sister.  Her sister, Alisa,  used to live here, and used to be one of my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators in my downline.  She recruited her mom, Barbara  (from the Dallas area), and she also…

Club Project #1 Quilt Card

This was one of our February Club projects.  My second group will meet tonight, so I thought I’d start revealing the projects.  I am enjoying working on several quilt projects (the sewing kind) and I have been tempted to try some quilted stamp projects, too!  I have gotten ideas from several of the blogs that I check out, and this was my variation that I liked the best for my class.  I used 12 patterns…

Sarah’s Valentine Treats

Sarah wanted to take Valentine treats to her friends (all 15 of them!) and to her teachers (9 of them!), so I decided that I better find something VERY quick and easy.  Along comes my sweet customer, Dee, who brought me a precious little Valentine treat on Saturday that looked similar to these.  Hers was really even nicer, and much prettier!  But, I decided to grab our new Specialty Paper and get busy!  This is…

This is the third part of the Sweet Pea class — Framed Decor Item.  You will receive the frame, as well as the other supplies, if you attend the Sweet Pea Class on Saturday, February 6th.  Please check out the last two posts for the other project samples.  You will enjoy making the set of cards, the box, and this framed item.  I have already received several RSVPs, so please let me know if you…
