Halloween Happiness

Have you tried any of our single stamp images?  Perfect for a tight budget, a little something for the holidays, or an affordable gift for a friend.  I purchased this one and only Halloween image when the Holiday catalog was first released.  I was excited to see several ideas on Pinterest and adapted this card from one of those.  I have some of my club members who I felt would not want the Halloween words,…

Perfect Paper Bows

I stumbled up on the most adorable (and EASY) way to make a perfect paper bow!  I just knew my Club Ladies would like this idea, and sure enough, they loved it!  Tonight was our last formal club gathering until the end of summer, but we will start up again in late August.  If you would like to join us in August, please let me know. You can find the “perfect paper bow” instructions from…

“Two by Two” Baby Girl Card

One of my dear friends just had a baby girl!  After THREE boys, she finally received the “sugar and spice” in her house!  This will be one special little girl — loved and protected by many — and spoiled rotten!  I couldn’t wait to sit down last week and make her a sweet little girl card.  The ingredients had to include lace, pearls, buttons, and bows — and the colors had to be pink and…

Grateful for so many things…

During this week of Thanksgiving, I am especially mindful of life’s many blessings.  That doesn’t mean that my life is perfect, and that I have no trials.  In face, this year has brought some of the biggest trials I have personally ever experienced.  Thanksgiving in my heart means that I will be thankful in ALL circumstances and grateful for many blessings, even when my circumstances are not ideal.  I know too many people who are…

Thinking of fall…

Maybe if I think about Fall long enough, the cool air will arrive a little sooner!  Doubtful, but a girl can always hope, right? I cased part of this card from an online sample.  I really liked the fall colors and the Core’dinations paper for the woodgrain, tree-trunk look.  The leaves are from the Falling Leaves stamp set and I stamped them using Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and More Mustard.  Then the outline was stamped…

Magnetic Memo Board

One of the 3-D projects that I created for the Convention display boards was this magnetic memo board.  I purchased this piece of metal at a scrapbooking convention many years ago, but I know that you can buy it at the hardware stores.  I covered it with Stampin’ Up! Floral District fabric using Sticky Strip and added fabric flowers for an accent.  I punched the holes for the ribbon at the top using the Crop-a-Dile. The flowers…

Button Art Flowers

Sorry it has been a full week since I posted last.  I had a whirlwind week last week, and didn’t make the blog a priority at all.  I traveled to Houston twice for soccer games and had club class one of the evenings.   Mix in working, laundry, and the like…….well, you get the picture.  Not to mention an 8 month old baby.  So, my apologies!  BUT……..good news is that tomorrow is my last day to…
