Thoughtful Branches Card #5

I hope you aren’t tired of the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set just yet……I am still enjoying creating samples with this bundle.  I also opened my new Layering Circle Thinlets to cut out the circle and the scalloped circle shown on this card.  I’m really thankful for Pinterest-inspired projects!  I don’t have much time for reinventing the wheel, but I sure to enjoy finding cards that I like and recreating similar projects. I hope that you…

Thoughtful Branches Card #4

Today is the first day that you can order the Thoughtful Branches Bundle — stamp set and coordinating framelits — which is available during the month of August (while supplies last).  I decided to try for a more masculine feel for this card, using the pine tree and a bit of a watercoloring technique.   I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest, and decided to go for it.  Supplies are listed below, but…

Honeycomb Hello Part 2

I had alot of fun making additional Paper Piecing Cards using Honeycomb Hello this past weekend.  You may remember the cute little chicks from my last post, but I also wanted to show my Stamp Club ladies some additional samples in case they liked them better.  It gave them some ideas on how valuable the set might be (beyond a baby chick) and a few of them created the balloon card simply to avoid cutting…

The Making of the Zoo Babies Birthday Card

This week I had a coworker ask me if I would make him a birthday card suitable for a 1 year old’s birthday.  Of course I jumped at the opportunity to make something special, but I had a team meeting that evening, and I was a little worried about what I could do late that night, in a hurry, tired and exhausted…….when I really wanted to crash in my bed!  I didn’t have time to…

Herringbone DSP Cards

These cards today were made by my daughter Allyson using the same technique as the cards posted yesterday.  She decided to cover the entire card front with strips of DSP.  The strips are 1/4″ and 1/2″.  Don’t you love how beautiful they are?  And they show off the new DSP collections so well!   She used the English Garden and Pretty Petals Designer Series Papers. I forgot to show you this sample of how the…
