Cards from my friends…

I have worked so hard this weekend and finished the flags for the Color Guard (22 of them!).  I am so excited to be done with that project!  I also finished all the preparation for my Club Classes this week!  I am happy as a lark!  I will start showing them to you tomorrow.  I thought I’d show you a few of the Christmas cards that I got from some friends………the hand-stamped ones, that is! …

Treats for My Secret Santa

Hello friends!  At school this week we have “Secret Santas”.  Those who wanted to participate drew names and we give little treats to our person each day this week.  At the end of the week we reveal our secret.  Well, as luck would have it, I drew a MAN teacher!  He is a great guy, and I’m thrilled to be his Secret Santa, but I was really wanting to give away some of my crafted…

Penguin Treats

Hello friends!  I have finished my marathon week of rehearsals and 4 performances in the Waco Christmas Celebration!  Can you hear me singing the Hallelujah Chorus?  Surely you can…….I know I am singing very loudly, as I am very thankful that some of my time is freed up.  However, I am full of mixed emotions because it is all over.  Isn’t that “let down” feeling funny?  You work so hard for so long and then…

Felt Flurries Frames

Ever have one of those moments when you thought you had a great idea, but then after you try it out, it turns out differently?  I had one of those moments last night.  I bought these inexpensive frames at Ikea last month, and I had this “grand” idea to put my Felt Flurries around the edges of the frame.  I thought it would look perfect!  Now, I will let you be the judge.  I can’t…

Club Project: Tic Tac Treat

This is another project that we made at club this week.  It is a pattern that I found a few years ago on Angie Juda’s blog.  It is always fun to make for the holidays…..just a little something to let friends and co-workers know you are thinking of them.  It also uses a very minimal amount of paper and goes together quickly!  I love the little poem that I found on SplitCoast Stampers called “Snowman…

Gift Card Set and Gift Tag

Before I show you the Stampin’ Up! project, I’d like to let you know that I am beginning another long-term Substitute Teaching job on Tuesday.  I thought I had a couple more weeks, but I found out today that I am needed a little sooner.  Funny how babies don’t have a sense of time….    So, please be patient if I have to slow things down just a little bit.  I might only post 3 times…

Delightful Decorations Card and Lots of Family Stuff…

Hello friends!  Lots of stuff going on around here………as usual!  And I want to show some photos from the weekend, but only after the Stampin’ Up! project…….. I finally found a little window of time to stamp with my new set “Delightful Decorations” and use some new DSP “Merry Moments”.  Oh, and the new Ornament  punch, too, from the Mini Catalog (page 25).  You know that I love a quick, easy card, so this fits…

Christmas Cocoa

Once again, I have a fond attraction to some new Designer Paper!  Are you surprised?  No way!  But this DSP is so incredibly unique!  Some of the papers are flocked and some of them have a pearlized, irridescent sparkle!  It is not possible to see the true beauty in a photograph, but here is a sample for you to see…. In addition to the snowflake paper from the Christmas Cocoa Collection, this card shows a…

Christmas in July Day 12

This is my final “Christmas in July” post.  Have no fear, I will still show you additional Christmas ideas, but I’m finished showing you the projects that I prepared for the two weeks I was out of the office.  I made this card last fall at Lindsey’s retreat.  It uses some items that have been retired, but I loved the layout and I think it is an easy one to duplicate with current catalog merchandise. …
