Car Seat Cover Baby Gift

Hello friends!  We are home from a weekend at Hardin-Simmons University Homecoming where we spent lots of fun times with Allyson and her roomie.  It was a great weekend, including the football victory on Friday night at our High School Game.  We won with a field goal and no time left on the clock.  It was super-duper exciting, but bittersweet, as we defeated many of our very best friends on the opposing team. Last week,…

Lickety Split Bag

Last weekend, I found a little time on Sunday afternoon to sew………..but not THIS weekend!  Here’s the cute little pattern that I found online and decided to try out.  It’s called the Lickety Split Bag and cane be found on Made by Rae.  It is a really quick and simple pattern that you can purchase and download on your home computer.  I love it!  No worries, no hassle!  It takes one yard of each fabric,…

Hidden 9 Patch Baby Quilt for Jackie

I’ve been waiting all week for Jackie to get her quilt in the mail so I could show it to you!!!  This is the completed quilt that I was asked to make for one of my friends who used to live in Waco and attend church with us.  She has a new baby boy and wanted something special for him.  I was honored that she asked me and enjoyed helping her choose a pattern and…

Leopard Pride…

Our school year is off to a roaring start……..and along with that comes HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL.  I now have a Varsity Cheerleader, a JV Cheerleader, and a member of the Marching Band.  We are in the midst of another very busy fall season, but we love every minute of it — well, almost – wink!  I was asked to sew a little outfit for our cheerleader sponsor’s little girl.  It’s a bit too warm for her…

eReader Cover

A few weeks ago, I made an eReader cover for a friend of mine who has a Kindle.  I decided to make a second one and list it on my Etsy shop.  I really like how it turned out, and so did she!  Even better!   This fabric is from Moda’s Soiree collection and I used strips of fabric from a Honey Bun.  I found this pattern on the Moda Bake Shop website.  Awesome free patterns…

Convention Lanyards

Perhaps you noticed the lanyards we were wearing in our Convention photos……..and would like to see a close-up of them.   I meant to show them to you all week long, but failed to do so.  I’m the main “sewist” out of our group of roomies, so I was elected this job.  And I willingly accepted!  Stampin’ Up! provided some gorgeous fabric for me to work with, and I was able to pre-order this set in…

Twirly skirt and Tshirt for a sweet little miss…

In the midst of all the stampin’ stuff that I’m working on, I am squeezing in some sewing for some customers and also trying to sew more for my Etsy shop.  This one was ordered for a cutie patootie whose mom is our cheer sponsor.  She brought me a photo she found online and asked me to copy it using this fabric.  I love how sassy it looks!  I am taking special orders on anything you see…

Lindsey’s Birthday Quilt

Here’s another project that I had to “hide” for the last few months.  I made this quilt for Lindsey’s birthday which was on Monday.  She loves it……and I’m so glad she loves it!  It’s always a struggle to know if you put this much time and effort (and money) into a quilt………..and you wonder if the recipient will love it as much as you do! I saw this quilt on a blog that I read…

Headed home…

We said goodbye last night with gorgeous fireworks at Epcot and boarded the shuttle bus for the last time.  We are tired and ready to come home, but the memories have been made and it’s always a little sad to leave such a happy, happy place!  (At least it is for ME — this place just makes me smile so much!)  I can’t wait to see Josiah, though!  We have missed him, but we were…

A sweet little sundress…

I haven’t shown you any of my sewing projects recently, so I thought I’d switch gears and take a break today from stamping projects.  I will be showing you the Club Class projects the remainder of the week, and you will really like them.  I’m excited to see how my ladies like the projects when we get together tonight! One of the many things I have sewn recently is a sweet little sundress for a…
