Watercolor Happy Birthday Card

Tonight’s class features five watercoloring cards.  I’m so excited to teach my customers more about this technique and allow them to be “artists” for the evening.  I can’t wait to see how everyone’s cards turn out, because when you watercolor,  no two cards are ever identical!  You can even “mess up” your card when you are watercoloring, and no one will ever know!  I really enjoy the freedom of using the Aqua Painters and letting…

Upcoming Events

I have two opportunities to come stamp at my home during the month of June.  I am going to briefly tell you about them and post the samples this week and next.  I hope you’ll join me if you are local, and would like a chance to have a “ladies night out” with some papercrafting, snacks, and friends! Tuesday, June 13th will be my monthly Stamp Club group.  You do not have to be a…

Wetlands Birthday Cards with Clear Block Watercoloring

I have been challenged this year to create more Masculine cards than ever before in my life.  I started a new job this past January and my boss wanted to start sending birthday cards to all of the employees in the departments that he oversees.  There are quite a few men on the list, so I have worked hard to come up with fresh new ideas.  The cards shown today are an easy type of…

Acrylic Block Stamping Technique

Tonight we had our monthly Stampin’ Up! Team Meeting.  I typically teach the ladies 2 new techniques each month.  For one of the new techniques, I showed the ladies how to stamp with Acrylic Stamp Blocks.  It is super quick and easy!  Once again, you can find many more ideas on Pinterest!   We colored directly onto the Acrylic Block with our Stampin’Write markers, spritzed it with 3 quick blasts of Stampin…

Magic Reinkers Technique

Ladies……I love when I find something new to try after 15 years of being a demonstrator!  I saw this technique online and decided to showcase it at my Stamp with Perrywinkle Downline meeting, as well as my October Club class.  Everyone loved it!  You start by embossing a flower on Shimmery White Cardstock.  You must use the Shimmery White — NOT Whisper White.  In real life, you can still see the shimmer on this flower.…

Starburst Technique Card

There are many different variations on this technique, but I found this method to be easy to duplicate for my September Club Class and teach to my downline, as well.  They all thought it was a great idea, and one customer even plans to make some Christmas cards using this technique.  What a great way to show off your DSP! Like I said, lots of ways to do this, but my version uses 4 small…

FAITH Blocks — My next Stampin’ Up! Class

I am happy to announce my next Stampin’ Up! class!  We will make these beautiful blocks and the hanging tags that say “FAITH”.  These tags will hand loosely on the Vintage Brads so that you can change them for the coming season, or any other words you might want to create on your own.   I will have a FOLLOW UP class later in July where we will create 4 more sets of tags based on…

Graduation is almost here!

Most things in our house are focused on Lindsey’s graduation…..only 8 days away!  How can it be?  The last big project (the senior scrapbook) was turned in today, and we both felt a huge weight lifted off of us!  We still have alot of other events to add, but the SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT and the elements needed to secure her English grade have been completed!  We are on “pins and needles” to see how her GPA…

DIY Embossing Plates

Today’s card was the third project that we made at club this week.  I wanted to show the gals how to make their own Embossing Plates using chipboard.  I had heard about this before, and was inspired even moreso when I saw the idea on Pinterest.  Here’s the card we made (the red version).  Notice the background with the large and small stars embossed on the background.  A subtle, but very effective element…. Here’s what…

Explosion Purse

Last night we had our first night of the Febraury Stamp Club.  This is one of our projects this month — the Explosion Purse.  I found this idea from Pinterest and it linked me back to THIS BLOG.  I want to make sure that I give credit to her and her inspiration!  She has wonderful diagrams on how to score, cut, fold, and create!  I won’t try to duplicate those……..just link up to her blog…
