Project Life – excited to share!

First off, my apologies for abandoning the blog the last couple of weeks….I just have so much going on, and I can’t always make it fit into the schedule.  But there is a great deal of “buzz” in the Stampin’ Up! world as we are launching our new catalog soon, and I got my first supplies for Project Life in the mail yesterday!  Now if I can just carve out a little time, I am…

Weekly Deals and Zoo Babies Birthday Card

I’m sorry that I am just now getting these Weekly Deals posted, but you have until next Monday night to take advantage of these awesome deals! I mentioned in my last post that I need a toddler birthday card……..and here is what I made.  I can’t take credit for the design, as it is simply cased from one I found online.  But, I added a few elements 🙂 such as the bow and the 3D…

Weekend Get-Away and an Easter Card

We had an amazing weekend, full of “firsts” for Lila, our littlest angel!  She got to experience “Sea World” for the first time!  Actually, she is still calling it “Sea WHALE” every time…..she says she can’t say “world”.  Cute!! Sarah’s friend McKenna, otherwise known as “Kenna” went with us.  I needed TWO youngsters to help me keep up with the speeding bullet!  She only got away from me one time, and that’s when the girls…

Quilting Projects: Part 2

Here comes Peter Cottontail…….hoppin’ down the bunny trail…. This is one of my happiest “finishes” ever!  I completed almost all of it when I had a little retreat a few weeks ago.  I got this kit about 3 years ago from Connecting Threads…..immediately started it, but never finished it.  I hand appliqued the bunnies, so that was the time consuming part.  Yes, I admit, I should have just appliqued by machine to speed up the…

Easter Blessings Class coming soon!

Hello friends!  I am sorry to keep you waiting so long….I’ve been unable to find all the wonderful photos I took earlier this week…….so I’m giving you a sneak peek with the ONE photo I have from my iPad.  I took all sorts of angles, and showed all the dimension and colors…..rats!  Not sure what happened!  This photo isn’t the greatest……but I’ll post more after I get back from a weekend retreat.  But I wanted…

Weekly Deals from Stampin’ Up! & Flower Garden Embossed Card

Our newest Weekly Deals….love the discounted deals that we are getting each week from Stampin’ Up! And the new MDS downloads for March 4th…. This is a card that I tested out for club last month, but decided on a different technique.  To create the embossed panel, I inked the inside of my Flower Garden Embossing Folder with Coastal Cabana Ink.  Then I placed Whisper White cardstock in the folder and ran it through the…

Kaleidoscope Birthday Cards

I broke open my package of Kaleidoscope DSP this past weekend, and really enjoyed playing with the bright colors.  I used a card layout that I had seen on Pinterest but it was not watermarked, so I have no idea whose original idea it was — but I snatched it up and went to work!  Here is my Girly-Girl version, with Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay, a cute little bow and some bling! Here is my…

Masculine Birthday Card

Ya’ know, the masculine cards are always the toughest for me!  Being the mom of girls, and being the flowery and fancy type, I just can’t get very excited about cards for men.  But I must say, I truly love how this card turned out.  It was inspired by a card that I found on Stampin’ Connection by Diane Vander Galien.  Stampin’ Connection is for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators exclusively, and it is full of inspirational…

Flower Garden Embossed Card

Today’s card was one of the cards we made at Club Class last week.  We used the Flower Garden Embossing Folder on Whisper White paper.  Then we used a Brayer and Coastal Cabana ink to brayer on the “debossed” side of the paper.  In other words, you want to have the raised image down on the table, and then you brayer the cardstock.  The white will “show up” — it really “wowed” my ladies.  I…
