Valentine’s Day Card #5

Today’s card is CASE’d from a card I found on Pinterest.  It was just too cute and too simple to pass up!   This set is one that might not have caught your eye in the Annual Catalog, but now that I’ve drawn your attention to it, maybe you should check out the BIG variety of images and words included in this set.  Watercolor Words might be one of the most versatile stamp sets in the catalog.  I love how FAST you can pull off a great looking card with these images!  Once again, I used the THICK Whisper White cardstock for my card base — t creates a super strong card that isn’t flimsy.

Valentine’s Day Card #4

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner!  If you haven’t made valentines for all of your loved ones, consider this some additional inspiration……straight from my Pinterest board!  I am a super busy lady (aren’t we all) and I am constantly crafting based on what I found on Pinterest!  I seriously don’t know what I did before Pinterest!  How about you?  And the beautiful heart edge?  I can’t believe how pretty this turns out on the edge of a card!  Perfection!

Valentine’s Day Card #3

This pretty little card was inspired by one similar on Pinterest.   I was immediately drawn to the soft pink color and feminine details.  I added an embossed border using a retired folder called HAPPY HEARTS.  Way back when these were on the clearance rack, I purchased two of them so that I could cut one of them up and use just a few rows of it.  I also have a polka dotted one and I have cut about 1″ strip off of it.   It’s nice to add just a little portion, and depending on how the folder is made, sometimes that is easier accomplished than others.

Valentine’s Day Card #2

How about a little love from our hedgehogs?  I love these little guys!  I have greatly enjoyed the Stitched Shapes Framelits that Stampin’ Up! introduced recently.  They have been out of stock, but they are now available once again.  The set includes circles, shapes, and squares!  I love the look of stitching around the edges — but then again, that won’t surprise any of you that know me well!  This card also uses Whisper White THICK Cardstock for the card base.  If you haven’t tried this stronger version of cardstock for your card bases, you need to order it right away!

I hope this inspires you to create a few Valentine cards before the 14th!

Valentine’s Day Card #1

This is a simple little card, with alot of punch!  (pun intended!)  The only little problem with this card is that I used a couple of Retired Items……oops!  The Hexagon Embossing Folder shown here has been “replaced” with an all new and improved folder that is in the new Occasions Catalog.  I just haven’t purchased it yet, and I wanted to make this card that I found on Pinterest.  The tiny heart punch is one of my favorites, but it’s also retired.  I never get rid of any of my punches and I am SO QUICK to grab them.  I don’t even stop to think about it for a second!  I can’t live without my Big Shot or my punches!

Watercoloring with Bella & Friends

Today I want to share some of the most precious cards I have ever seen.  I’m in love with this puppy (and truthfully I’m not really a “dog” person by nature) thanks to these cards made by my assistant Sara.  I’m so glad that I can show you some samples using stamps that I don’t own to add a little variety here and there.  Sara is new to my area, and I’m enjoying getting to know her on a personal level and extending some Texas Stampin’ Up! hospitality!

I also want to remind you to RSVP for my Valentine’s Class on Saturday morning from 10-12.  The class fee will be $2 per card/candy treat, so you can make as many as you have time for, and money for.  I have 8 cards and 2 treats for you to choose from.  You can see samples in my previous blog entry.

Don’t you love the coordinating envelopes Sara made?  They really make the cards extra special!  Sarah watercolored these cards using an Aqua Painter and ink from Stampin’ Up! Classic Stamp Pads.   For the puppy below, a Blender Pen was used.   You’ll notice that watercoloring is especially effective on Stampin’ Up!’s Shimmery White cardstock.  It has such a perfectly smooth finish and a little bit of sparkle never hurts!  If you don’t have this product, you’ll definitely want to give it a try!

“Be My Valentine” Saturday Stamp Camp – February 4th

Come get your Valentines ready to mail!  Don’t procrastinate until the last minute and run to the store to pay large sums of money on store-bought cards!  Come enjoy creating your own Valentines……Saturday, February 4th from 10 am – noon at my house.  I’ve prepared 8 card designs for you and 2 candy treats.  You will be able to make ANY STYLE that you want, and AS MANY AS YOU WANT in the 2 hour time frame.  You can get a “sneak peek” in the photo below of the styles.  I’m adding one to the mix that will be in darker, more masculine colors if you’d rather give your sweetie something less frilly looking!

Just to clarify, you can make as many cards as you want and I will charge you PER CARD/CANDY BAG.   So I recommend that you make a list of who you plan to send Valentines to BEFORE coming to class so you’ll be ready to roll!  You could even stamp the images, and assemble them at home, if you want to make more cards that you think you’ll have time for.  Just a thought…….

I’ll provide light snacks, and plenty of supplies……..so come on over and have some fun next Saturday, February 4th.

Valentine Sampler Class and Kits

EDIT:  This class has been CANCELED due to illness in my family.  We have all had very bad colds all week, and I don’t want to expose you all to our germs.  SO SORRY, but I will make kits for anyone interested.  I WILL BE HAVING a Valentine’s Class next Saturday, February 4th.   Please see most recent blog post.

I think you will love this new project — and I hope you’ll enjoy creating this next Saturday morning at my house.  {Class details below}  This frame measures 10 x 10 and was purchased at my local Michael’s store,  but you could also use a frame that is 8×8 or 12×12.  We will create the sampler at class, but you will need to purchase your own frame.  There is NO stamping on this project (gasp!) so this also allows me to sell kits for this project.  This is a fun Home Decor piece, or gift for a friend.  Please RSVP for class by Thursday so that I can make sure I have enough supplies on hand for everyone.

Valentine Kraft Bags {Sealed with Love Stamp Set}

We made these adorable Tag-A-Bag Kraft Bags at club class this week.  We used products from the new Occasions catalog on pages 14 and 15. I found a great tutorial online for a similar project on THIS BLOG.  She added a but “bellyband” on her bags, but I enjoyed making a banner and clipping it on with the cute gold clips.

Stamp Camp this coming Saturday, January 28th!

Speaking of Valentine’s….I’ll be having a Saturday Stamp Camp next Saturday morning from 10-12 at my home.  Please join us for all sorts of Valentine projects that you can share with all your loved ones!  More photos will be coming soon, but you will love them all!   This project will not be repeated, but I’ll be happy to share the handout with full directions to anyone who attends class.
