Last night was my January Club Class and we had fun using new stamps from the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration catalog. This is one of 3 projects we completed, and everyone there enjoyed trying out the new Watercolor Pencils to color the beautiful flower from Avant Garden.
Today’s card will be the first of many samples these next few months using the new Sale-A-Bration sets. This is one of the sets that you can earn for FREE if you purchase $50 in Stampin’ Up! products. I love this color combination mixing the deep Rich Razzleberry color with the subtle Soft Sky color. I found the layout design from Pinterest, but decided to give it some fresh colors. One of my favorite new accessories is used on this card. The little metallic enamel accents are so fun! They come in a package with both gold and silver, 50 of each, and there are two sizes of circles, along with hearts and stars! I like them SO much better than piking holes and inserting brads. Quick and easy!
If you are one of my local gals, I wanted to let you know that my Saturday Stamp Camps will be starting back up very soon! I plan to have them twice a month from 10 am – Noon. Each one of them will have a “Theme” and the projects will all be designed for that theme. Occasionally there might be a box or another 3D type of project, but mostly cards for various occasions that you will want to send to friends and loved ones. Our themes might include Birthdays, Sympathy, Masculine, holidays, etc. Let me know if you have something in mind that you’d like to recommend to me for one of our themes.
I love making “special order” cards for my family and friends. One of my coworkers asked me to make a card for her niece that just got a new puppy. I was SO excited to have a reason to ink up this new image from the “Occasions” catalog. Isn’t this adorable! I can see so much potential with the animals in this set — despite the fact that it appears to be “baby themed” at a first glance. I was inspired to create this card after seeing a similar card made by Amy O’Neill that used “Bella & Friends” on Pinterest. You can view other creative projects on her blog, as well. She is a very talented stamper, indeed! The supplies for my project are shown below. I used quite a variety of items, but it was worth it! If you see some supplies you can’t live without……..let me know what you’d like to order, or shop 24/7 in my online store. For each $50 you spend, you will get to choose a Sale-A-Bration product for free! If you purchased the stamp set and Framelits below, you’d have enough for a SAB item.
All of the supplies are listed below. The Grass image is from “Thoughtful Branches”. I could have just drawn some grass with my markers, but I opted for this since I had it on hand!
I did it! I posted two days in a row……..I’m trying to get back in the swing of things. This is the card I made while I had my “So Very Much” stamps inked up. I had a plain white card base on my desk, so I just decided to see how I could spruce it up. I used the new Real Red narrow grosgrain ribbon and secured it by punching 1/2 of a circle on the edge of the cardstock. The little grooves are perfect for holding your ribbon in place so it doesn’t slide off the card at the least expected moment. I know this is plain, and may even appear boring to some of you, but to your recipient…….it may be the prettiest card they will ever see! Send out some simple cards now and then. Every card doesn’t have to be a masterpiece, ya’ know? Lots of love went into this card, and I’m happy with its simplicity!
I’m happy to be entering into a new year……and a new Stampin’ Up! year, as well! You know you did a horrible job of blogging when you can’t even remember all the log-in information and passwords to your OWN blog! Whoa! I really have great intentions on posting more, stamping more, sewing more, and sharing more! 2017 is off to a great start, and Sale-A-Bration is in full swing! We have the new products in the Occasions Catalog, as well as the FREE rewards in the SAB book, so I am very excited to ink up some new images and share some new samples!
The first item on my agenda involved writing “Thank You Notes” for all of my wonderful Christmas presents that I received, so I cleaned up my office on Saturday — it was a catch-all during the holidays — and now I feel like I have an organized space to let the creative juices flow. Not sure about you, but there is something quite exhilarating about working on a clean desk! In the process of cleaning up, I discovered all the leftover pieces of paper from one of my December Club projects (that sadly never made it to the blog!) and I decided to put them to good use for my thank yous.
I was super excited to use the large THANK YOU image in the Sale-A-Bration set I received in my Demonstrator Pre-Order. It is called “SO VERY MUCH” and can be found on page 8. I needed to quickly make about 20 of these, so I felt that the large image and the pre-cut paper sitting on my desk was just the way to go!
Like I said, I was going for quick as easy! This is a flat card, that will not require extra postage, and I was happy about using Christmas colors as I remembered my Christmas gifts. Of course this card could have been stepped up with some ribbon or some bling! I know it will be too flat and too simple for some of you, but it was fun to get back to stamping, use my new images, and just play a little in my clean office. I show you another variation tomorrow that is NOT red and green. I hope you’ll come back and see me in 2017. I’m starting to get fired up again, and I hope to post a lot more this year!
Would you like to escape once a month and have some girl time? Would you like to use new Stampin’ Up! products and take them on a test drive before you make a purchase? Would you enjoy having some gift ideas or some extra cards on hand to immediately send to your friends? Then you would enjoy my monthly Stamp Club! Sign Ups are currently being accepted for my new Stamp Club! Perhaps you’ve been thinking about it, or were a previous member who took a year off. Whatever your situation might be, we would love to stamp with you once a month! Club details are shown below. Please let me know by August 20th if you plan to join us so that I can finalize all the details and have your stampin’ supplies ready!
STAMPER’S CLUB CLASS
The Stamper’s Ten Club Class meets once a month at my house. We do not always meet on the same day of the week. It is totally random each month, but you always know one month ahead so you can plan accordingly. We have 8-10 members in my stamp club. We will have the first club class meeting on Tuesday, August 30th at 6:30 p.m. and you will receive the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog and Holiday Catalog for FREE (if you have not already gotten them from me). We will put everyone’s name in a drawing, and we will randomly choose names so you can pick one of the next 10 months (Sept. 2016 – June 2017) to be the hostess. When it is YOUR MONTH to be the hostess, you will need to provide snacks and drinks for the group. I will clean the house, and provide all the crafty stuff……..you just show up! Everyone in the group is required to spend $15 each month. If you can’t make the class, you must e-mail me your order and arrange payment no later than the day of the class. Although $15 is all that is required, you can earn more hostess benefits by collecting outside orders. In addition, many of the club participants regularly order more than $15 because they always things they just can’t live without. So, you get free merchandise, free hostess sets, and free project ideas from me. All of the classes will include patterns, handouts, and opportunities to try NEW things that you will really love! You also get fun time with other ladies who love to create — and YUMMY FOOD! What could be better???
This is a great opportunity to replace your cardstock supply, order stamp pads or re-inkers that you don’t have yet, or accumulate a little here and there during our Club Classes.
So what is keeping you from joining the club??? This is a very minimal commitment and you will thoroughly enjoy a little “Ladies Night Out” to craft and socialize.
Do you want to join??? Please e-mail me and I will go over any questions you might have. Our first class is on TUESDAY, AUGUST 30th at 6:30 p.m. Remember, we need a group of 10 to form the club……so let me know if you want to join in on the fun! I believe that we will definitely have enough ladies to form one group, and potentially two groups. We tend to fill up rather quickly, so don’t forget to call me or email me today!
We make things like tags, cards, framed items, and more! At most classes, we make 3 projects with one of them being a 3 D project. You will always receive an email with full color photos, instructions, and dimensions for all projects. The card in today’s post was from one of club classes this past spring.
I hope you aren’t tired of the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set just yet……I am still enjoying creating samples with this bundle. I also opened my new Layering Circle Thinlets to cut out the circle and the scalloped circle shown on this card. I’m really thankful for Pinterest-inspired projects! I don’t have much time for reinventing the wheel, but I sure to enjoy finding cards that I like and recreating similar projects.
I hope that you will plan on attending my next class on Monday, August 15th. We will use this stamp set, along with several accessories. The class is FREE if you place an order, or $10 if you only want to make the cards. Some of you have Pre-Ordered the Thoughtful Branches Bundle. I have placed that order and your products will be waiting for you on the 15th. If you’d like to order (and you haven’t already told me), please visit my online store, or email me and I will gladly place the order for you.
Stay tuned for more samples, and additional information about Stamp Club which begins on August 30th. If you’d like to create projects once a month with other ladies — a fun Ladies’ Night Out — please let me know. We sure do have alot of fun — and we take turns bringing snacks. When it is your month, you provide snacks, and receive free Stampin’ Up! products based on the orders received that month. Your only commitment is to place an order of at least $15 each month. Grab a friend and join the fun!
Today is the first day that you can order the Thoughtful Branches Bundle — stamp set and coordinating framelits — which is available during the month of August (while supplies last). I decided to try for a more masculine feel for this card, using the pine tree and a bit of a watercoloring technique. I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest, and decided to go for it. Supplies are listed below, but I wanted to tell you how I make the tree image. It is quite simple, yet looks artistic! I stamped the tree branches first, and then the leaves, on watercolor paper. Then I spritzed the paper with Stampin’ Mist. You can use water, but I don’t ever have that handy on my stamp table, so I always grab the Mist! I think I sprayed 4-5 times, but you can decide how “fuzzy” you want your image. It will bleed a bit more as the paper gets more and more saturated.
I think this card would make a great card for a man, and you could easily change the greetings for a birthday card or a sympathy card. As always, you can click on any of the photos below to purchase the item from my Online Store. But you can also call me or email me at any time to place an order. Don’t let this bundle slip away…….purchase yours before they run out!
Another sweet card made with the new THOUGHTFUL BRANCHES BUNDLE that will be available for ordering during the month of August (WHILE SUPPLIES LAST). If you would like to purchase this bundle, please order through my online store, or contact me for a special price that I’m offering to my customers. You can check out THIS POST for my August 15th class details. I hope my local friends will join me!
Stay tuned for details, but mark your calendars for August 30th. We will have our first STAMP CLUB for the new year. We meet monthly to make 3 projects and we would LOVE to have you join us. This is a fun “Ladies Night Out” type of event. All skill levels are welcome! Your only commitment is to purchase $15 each month (Sept – June). I’ll be posting additional details in the weeks to come, but start thinking about whether you’d like to attend our stamp club nights.
It is time to Pre-Order this bundle (for sale starting August 2nd) because it is available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST! Don’t be sad when it sells out…….let me know and I’ll order it for you. Keep reading…
I’ll be continuing to feature some cards on my blog that I’ve been making with Thoughtful Branches. I am also offering a special price of $47 for those who contact me about ordering this set. I am having a class at my house on August 15th if you are local. We will create 5 cards using this set. If you can’t attend, I will offer a kit for $10, but you must purchase the bundle above in order to make the cards. I will NOT be stamping or cutting out anything for you. Your kit will include photos, paper, and accessories.
There are so many ways to use these stamps, but this card features a Hydrangea flower stamped in one of our newest colors, Sweet Sugarplum. All supplies are shown below. Don’t forget to RSVP for the class. You DO NOT have to purchase the supplies to attend my class. You can use mine (and then fall in love with it, ha!)
Welcome to my blog! I love sharing my creative projects with others! I enjoy stamping hand-made cards, quilt-making, sewing anything and everything, traveling, and drinking coffee. We stay busy with 3 grown children and an active 9 year old.....my creative time is my "therapy" and I'm constantly planning my next project.
