December is here!

Whew!  Where has the year gone?  I’m overwhelmed at the thought of my college girl finishing up her first semester, my senior half way to graduation, and Christmas is almost here!  Time flies when you are having fun……and when you are staying busy!  I’m frantically working on Christmas gifts for all the women and girlfriends in my life……….and also some teacher gifts.  My job is really slow right now (Image Photography) so I’m able to…

Hello, Doily! Card Sample

This is one of the projects we made at our club class last night.  It was a big hit with the ladies and they were amazed at how simple, yet beautiful this technique is.  This is called “Emboss Resist” — start out with Whisper White cardstock, stamp the doily image with VersaMark ink, emboss with White Embossing Powder, sponge with desired ink color, and voila!  A gorgeous effect!  This sample was sponged in a circular…

Happy Halloween and PawPaw’s going away dinner

Good morning and Happy Halloween!  I must admit, I don’t think about Halloween alot these days, but I did buy the candy and I am looking forward to seeing all the little munchkins out Trick or Treating.  I’m a good sport!  But I’m secretly glad that I don’t have to worry about sewing the “perfect” costumes for the girls any more.  Those were very fun times, but I’m enjoying the break.  Someday, I’ll get back…
