Happy Graduation, Daniel!

I have several Graduation Cards that I need to make……but this one took top priority today.  My nephew is graduating from Plano Sr. High, and I am so proud of him!  He is a hard worker, and has faced some adversity in recent months — and I love his determination to finish the fight!   I’m not sure how masculine this looks, but I hope it passes inspection.   I’d like to encourage you to read all…

Spring (or Summer!) is in the air…

Well, it’s actually getting a little too warm for Spring — seems like we’ve jumped to summer this week.  And when the kids get out of school next week, I will have to say “it’s official”……summer is here to stay! I wanted to show you two more special cards from Sheryl and Cheryl.  These are two very special ladies who were in attendance at my VERY FIRST WORKSHOP eleven years ago!  Oh, my…….can’t believe it…..it’s…

Yes, I’m still here!

Sorry gang!  I kinda ditched the blog for a few days.  I had a great trip to Dallas — short and sweet, but that’s all I can usually handle.  I’m always happy to visit Dallas, but happy to get back to my home, too.  There’s just too much traffic and overall overstimulation.  I’m getting old and set in my ways, I guess!    There are lots of little projects I’m working on, and Charles is out…

Lots of Thanks!

Good Morning!  We had such a great time at our club class last night, and I can’t wait to see my other group on Thursday night!  And we even got a little surprise visitor last night……..Kimi came by to see us!  A few of the gals got to see her and meet her new mommy!  It was a short visit — they were headed back to the Dallas area and stopped at our house for…

Sunflower Cards

Today’s cards were a special request from a friend of mine.  She is actually a “second mom” to me, and has been since I was tiny girl!  They used to live across the street from us when we were growing up, and we have always stayed in touch.   She wrote me last week and asked if I might help her with a Graduation Card.  Her son’s girlfriend is graduating from Law School next weekend.  WOW! …

Paper Strip Quilting

I’m super excited to show you one of the cards that I made yesterday……..and it’s kinda like making a quilt without the sewing!  And much smaller, of course!  And, speaking of quilts, I have two more completed quilts to show you.  I will try to do the photos in the sunlight today so I can post them tomorrow.  Both of them were on the blow awhile back when I was starting them, or partially done. …

Butterflies on a card and in my yard!

That sounds like something from a Dr. Suess book, doesn’t it?  I saw these cards on Julie Buhler’s Paper Pleasing Blog, and I printed them off for casing once my Sizzlit die arrived.  Then, yesterday, I opened a box from a special friend of mine who lives in Houston and it had some Scentsy “wickless” candles in it — and a full-size burner for them, too.  If you are not familiar with their products, you…

Happy Birthday, Charles!

Today is Charles’ birthday……..and we are excited about a fun family dinner and a delicious strawberry birthday cake!  I thought I’d show you his birthday card — and hope that he doesn’t see the blog before we give it to him!  This is called a Tri-Shutter Card.  I have wanted to make one of these for quite some time…….so dad’s birthday gave me the extra incentive to go the extra mile.  It only LOOKS hard…….it…

Creations from two dear friends…

Since I’ve been gone the last few days, and haven’t even entered the door of my stamp room, I want to share with you some projects that two very special friends created.  I have the best friends, and the best customers, ever!  They are so, so sweet to me and many of them bring me things they have made when we have our club class, or send me special cards in the mail.   We all…

Thinking of You Card

Today’s card features two of my favorite things…….the Medallion Stamp and paper flowers!  I got this idea from our Stampin’ Success demonstrator magazine — so thankful for the inspiration when my brain is a little overwhelmed with life!  These flowers are so, so easy to make and you do not need the Big Shot to make these.   I stamped the “remember” stamp image from “Define Your Life” Stamp Set on Whisper White Cardstock.  Then I…
