Feeling a little “gray”……..

Well, if the weather were not enough to get me down………now I really feel “gray”………. We have had a tough day.  I can’t go into it all, but lots of things having to do with our foster baby.  Can I just publicly ask any of you that feel led to pray for our baby to please do so???  I want to get her on some prayer lists, too, and I will handle that privately with…

Oh, Happy Day! (for many reasons!)

It is a very happy day today!  My blog is celebrating a full year of bringing you Stampin’ Up! information and family news.  I am thrilled that I have managed to “stick with it” and I hope to get even better at some of the computer stuff.  If you missed the announcement on the last post………I will offer a great give-away next week.  I couldn’t get it all together in time for today.  It is…

Mini Envelope Card

I’m back……….short and sweet before I call it a night.  We had TAKS testing today in the state of Texas………mandated academic testing — for those who might not be aware of the TAKS test — so it was another long day.  We started the morning out even earlier than usual because you have to provide a very large and wonderful breakfast for your children before they try to master the test.   So, I made breakfast…

Another Criss-Cross Card

I just love these cards!  Do you remember THIS POST from the fall when I first showed them to you?  Here is a sample that I photographed at Leadership in January.  I love the crisp colors and the simple design.  I am unsure of the exact products (since I didn’t make this card) but I think it uses the Pumpkin Pie or Tangarine Tango Prints Papers………..maybe?  Then the blue is definitely Pacific Point, and Kiwi…

Best Wishes, My Dear Friend Callie!

Today we will have lunch with my dear friend Callie before she and her husband leave for Lacon, Illinois.  Callie began babysitting my girls when Sarah was only 1 year old!  She has literally grown up with my girls!  She has been the best babysitter I could have ever asked for and truly an answer to prayer for a young mom.  Very rarely can a young mom with three children so close in age feel…

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

I guess you can now tell how busy I am by how frequently (or infrequently) I post on my blog………it just has been one of those weeks at our house.  Nothing BAD and nothing MAJOR — just all the little things of life!   It has also been TWIRP week at school (that stands for “The Woman Is Required To Pay”) and so the girls have been going things for their “twirp guys” all week long.  Every night…

Good morning.  I need to start the post with a little reminder about my Ribbon Share.  I still have room for 2 more this group.  I can order the ribbon right away if I have 2 more takers.  If you are unsure about the details, please see THIS POST.  Thanks! I found a little bit of “me time” last night and played with the Hodgepodge Hardware.  I don’t know what it is about embellishments like this, but I…

Be Happy & Eat Cake!

Be Happy (page 48, $20.95) Eat Cake (page 40, $25.95) I wanted to show you a couple more samples using two of my favorite “Retiring” stamp sets.  I love the colors of the top card (even though Taken with Teal didn’t photograph too well) and I love the “masculine look” of the birthday card.  These two cards were made using a few retired accessories, too, but I hope you enjoy the ideas any way. Tomorrow…
